Am I the only person with enough time on my hands to be sat watching a group of people sweeping a big stone down a sheet of ice?
Never normally watch much of the Winter Olympics but I've enjoyed it this year. The biathlon is my favourite event, found it completely mesmerising. The luge is really fun as well.
Team GB have a good shot at a gold with Elise Christie in the 500m short track speed skating this morning.

Gold and bronze for team GB in the women's lie face down on a tea tray and go round a track!
Was fun to watch!

There are some very tight costumes on show...
Bad crash out for Elise earlier.

Only been watching bits and pieces of the Winter Olympics mainly skiing as I did that in my army days but read this on the BBC Web Page about a curling controversy and does curling need video replays?

I've enjoyed it as well, always do to be honest. There's not much I don't enjoy, besides maybe the figure skating.
Still got a lot of love for Biathlon, think it's rather entertaining, as even if someone builds up a big lead he/she can fuck it all up on the shooting, so it's never over until the last round of shooting.
I must admit there's something about curling that has always got me. I tend to sit in a comatose state just staring at the tv for a couple of hours or however long it's on.

It's the strategy part that gets me. A bit like chess. You've got to plan you're moves in advance and block your opponent.

Definitely, it's not as easy as just knocking your opponent's stone out of the way. They're sometimes planning for the next end before the current 1 has finished.

Only saw this thread now. One of the peak moments to me so far was Yuzuru Hanyu - majestic as always.

Not into the winter Olympics much. Just seen some of the ice bowls and literally have no idea what im watching. Just that the UK beat Japan and seem better using miracle mops.
