Only thing good about that is the dilly dilly advert. Anything below 5% should be banned. That's what IPA stands for "Is Pointless Alcohol". You take that back! In fairness, DIPA’s are usually my favorite types of beer. Lots of booze in those traditionally. Keep in mind, it is usually hot as shit where I live, so easier drinking beers are often welcome. Im only messing mate, in this weather I prefer cider anyway, perfect summer point. I don't get to drink much though.

Pirate Life full strength IPA is my favourite tipple currently. Only problem is, because of its strength, my local will only sell it in schooners! (even my missus told the bar staff there’d not be any issues selling me a pint, but they wouldn’t relent). By my fourth schooner they were asking if the same person was drinking them all! 🤣

I don't get to drink much though. Don’t get me wrong though. When the weather cools, I break out the stouts, imperials and porters. About an hour away from where I live there is a little mountain town called Julian famous for apples. A few years back they opened a large cider house and make some excellent ciders. Cider and mead are becoming more popular these days. I guess some folks are burnt out on the traditional brews. San Diego has 140 breweries these days, making beer isn’t hip any more I guess.

Don't tend to drink lager in this heat although it will do if nothing else is available I make the odd batch of home brewed beer which isn't that strong but has a nice taste to it. Reminds me Ive gotta get another batch breaking soon.

I want to live in a town called Julian famous for Apples... Cool little get away from the coast. About an hour away from the city and you are in the mountains in an old mining town getting drunk on cider made from apples picked a half mile down the road.

I'm quite lucky in that I live in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire and we have our own brewery www.hooky.co.uk/ and live pretty close to the Wychwood brewery www.wychwood.co.uk/ that does one of my favourite beers, Hobgoblin... I tend to go for the darker ales and Old Hooky and Hobgoblin do just fine... Also like...Bishops Finger, Abbot Ale, Tanglefoot amongst a host of others... If the weather gets too hot then I'll most likely go for a decent cider (not silly fruit ones, just apple...) Haven't had a Snakebite in years...must try one again...

Back in my real ale days I was always partial to Ringwood Breweries Old Thumper and Bishops Tipple. Many an afternoon was spent stumbling about in the nursery I worked in (plant growing, not children's pre school before anyone calls social services)

The missus and her ladies got an all access tour of Sierra Nevada’s brewery last week. Place is supposed to be incredible. Owner is a very cool guy big into the outdoors and philanthropy. He is a bit of a legend in the craft beer scene especially on the west coast.
