Once you get into hoppy beers everything else tastes like dirty water. Overly hopped beer is the worst thing to come out of the recent 'craft' beer fad. Some rely too much on the hops but If I can't taste any hops I ain't drinking it. If they get the combo of body and hops right then you're set. Beer has moved on imo.

Having said that I'll still drink british uncarbonated beers because they are yum but they don't get made or served here.

Arrive back in England a couple of days earlier than originally planned so as not to miss the Kent Hopfest. Travelling alone, no wife or billy lids - Oh yeah, baby!

Nab some cans too, £3.50 a pop.

I'm not sure we're abouts in Cheltenham we are working yet but we get to choose were are hotel is so we normally have a little scope to see were the bars are and get hotel near by so we could try get hotel a atxi ride away from their brewery, I will be getting some cans as well, they do some great beers.

Might need t nab 6 cans of Steady.

Just had quite nice ale up here. Witches cauldron by Cairngorn. A spicy red beer. Not quite a stout, but not far off.

My mate from Manchester owns a company that builds Micro-breweries for people in Fort William, Oban Ales. He's bought up a few other littles bits around the town too. If you bump into the one other Mancunian up there (John Trew) say hello for me!
