Maybe it's because Pogba has been largely shite (albeit in an uncomplimentary formation) since he came back from 'injury'. He’s had a bad few weeks, but I don’t think he’s been crap since he came back from that injury in November or whenever it was (which i assume is what you’re referring to). Also, if he has been dropped for that reason, it raises questions why other players were not dropped for similar or worse form e.g. Lukaku’s dip that culminated in the City game (I know he has been better the past few weeks but doesn’t change how bad he was then), Smalling in the past few weeks etc. If Pogba is getting dropped for having 2/3 bad games (including Newcastle where he was clearly unfit) then a level of consistency over dropping players should be expected - one that has not been met so far this season. Edit: of course, it may just be that Pogba isn’t fully fit after all. He trained yesterday I believe but it was reported before that that he may miss this game. |

Perhaps if Mourinho played Pogba further up and not as a defensive midfielder then we'd get more out of him, just saying.
Pep doesn't play De Bruyne as a defensive midfielder does he.
Poch doesn't play Erikssen as a defensive midfielder.
Wonder why they don't get dropped....ah yes, they play in their proper positions.
Also there has to be a consistency when dropping players through poor performances. Lukaku has escaped this entirely so far.

If that MF and attack could win the 2011 PL, get to an FA CUP semi and a final of CL, the players we have in this squad should able to compete at the very least! Just saying CM 16 England Michael Carrick YC CM 11 Wales Ryan Giggs LM 13 South Korea Park Ji-sung SS 10 England Wayne Rooney CF 14 Mexico Javier Hernández but mate you do realize that at that time fergie was at the club for way more than 2 decades and we all know what he was able to get out of shit players. i just dont get some "comparisons"...maybe its just me though,fuck knows |
