First game of the season for me (A kid stops you having any fun). Dreading a shite performance to be honest, but we tend to get up for these. They had nothing off us in this fixture last season. Same again. A win would be massive.
Fucking Monday night at Palace after this, which fills me with no confidence, so a win Sunday please to keep us ahead of the pack and place pressure on the rest.

Don't care how fit or match ready he is start Bailly. Id take a half fit Bailly over a fully fit Smalling any day of the week.
Luke Shaw has to start over Young as well. Young has been found wandering quite a few times over the last few weeks (not exactly his fault, he's not a defender).
They need to up their shit, simple as that. If we play with 3 in the middle then Pogba has no excuse to not pull the strings.
Martial and Rashford both looked better than Lukaku and they were on for less than 20 minutes, fucking play one of them up front, if not then use them from the off. Martial doesn't deserve to lose his place on the left hand side, he's done nothing to warrant being dropped when you have some of the shit we've got constantly being excused for unacceptable performances.

Apparently we've won 1 of our last 14 against Chelsea in all competitions (last season at home). Christ. Our record against them has been poor for as long as I can remember. |

I wouldn't have Mata starting in this one. I'd prefer more pace up front in a 4-3-3. I'd love to see Martial, Rashford and Sanchez but Lukaku will likely start. McTominay, Matic and Pogba as our midfield 3. The Sevilla game was a bore but McTominay has been excellent and will be needed to help stop Kante from dictating the game.

Anything but a win here means that we’re definitely going to deal with another top 4 scramble.
I really hope that we start with Martial on the left, Shaw over young for LB and with a midfield of 3 players. Won’t be surprised at all if Young will start as our LB, Sanchez will play on the left and we field a midfield of Matic and Pogba. Jose absolutely owned this fixture tactically last season though, so hopefully he can do it again.
