Noteably, Young has played full 90 in the last three matches while Shaw has only been involved in the FA Cup tie. Maybe he will get the nod instead due to rotation.

McTominay and Matic are redundant. Extra defenders with little to no help attacking. Why can’t 4 defenders stop 3 attackers? Why does United set up with 6 defenders? And then not press the opposing midfield with those extra 2 defenders?
If McTominay starts and gets significant minutes, it is a clear sign that Mourinho is playing “not to lose.” If Mata or Lingard play instead of McTominay, it is a clear sign that Mourinho is playing to win.
I would hope that United at home would go for the win, however, I have no faith that this is going to happen.
0-0 or 0-1 Chelsea. And yes, I blame Mourinho.

The Renters have been shite for a while now. I think people over-reacted slightly to their performance against Barcelona, more because they didn’t get battered. But that was a case of a team on the slide pulling out a decent performance at home against the odds, similar to us under Moyes against Bayern. They’ll be scorched over in Barcelona and would have done if Paulinho had scored when Barca were totally on top. If Jose sets the team up properly, if our big players show, then we should win this and win it well. A lesser Utd side beat a far better Renter side last year.
A couple of big ‘ifs’ in there though.
