City seem to have no problem chatting with the opposition before and after a game and still perform. Why can't we do it? I used to play pool a lot in leagues and quite often come up against mates. I'd give them a nod, then kick their fucking arse. After that, beers would flow. Fuck giving them a hug before the game. In the zone. I always think of Keano in the tunnel, looking straight ahead. Focus. I agree, I prefer seeing that too but as has been said, those days appear long gone and I'm not willing to accept that as an excuse for the dire football we play. It's one of many reasons but yet again it seems like the manager trying to blame anyone or anything else besides himself.

I've no answers for that one. Our attack feels like the walking dead just hammering on the unlocked door, but if there was a semblance of intellectual thought, they could just push the handle down and be in.

Was this sarcasm? Did he say this in a sarcastic tone because I can’t tell.

I actually have no idea whatsoever what position or role Sanchez is meant to be playing and I would guess neither does Mourinho or his staff and why he plays so deep. He seems to be trying to play le Arse ball with Manchester United.
I thought Shaw did well for the most part and had a fair bit to do. He hasn't had many games to get match fit or any rhythm
Lingard was good and the only one who made intelligent runs. It's pretty boring, but City were drawing 0-0 at the weekend. Chelsea couldn't beat Huddersfield. It doesn't matter what others are doing, but what do you expect at this point when the league was won at XMAS
City are close on scoring 40 more goals than us this season, which is quite unfucking believable and Mourinho talks about them buying this goalkeeper or defender when they don't like him. I mean seriously he doesn't trust the defence. We need Christian Eriksen or someone like that. If we spend shit loads on defenders and fullbacks it won'y help us score another 40 goals

Unlike Pogba Lingard hardly lost possesion until late on when he got tired. His movement off the ball is amazing, and his football is incredibly intelligent for an instagram clown. Bar DDG none of our players have had a better season Matic Fair call. I Prefer Lingard personally but can’t complain about Matic who I didn’t expect to have such an impact when he signed

I've been all for Mourinho since he arrived, but got to be honest and admit to having departed the Jose train.
As others have said, he just looks like he's here for the pay cheque. He doesn't seem arsed at all about the challenge. Sits in a huff with a bored scowl on his face. I have no issue with the "us against the world" mentality but that's not what he has now, if he was a cartoon character he'd be Droopy, if he was on a show it'd be playing Toby on The Office.
A good manager deflects flak from his players and puts it on himself, with him it's the opposite. Who the fuck talks to the press about having players who aren't good enough but he's stuck with them? If you're not in the team (i.e. Bailly, Mata, Rashford, Martial, Shaw, etc) how are you going to feel hearing that? It's obvious he's not talking about his 1st choice players, so he's just openly talking about how you're not good enough.
And the Sanchez thing? It was nothing more than one last, pathetic act of an arrogant vain man who has been shown up by a younger better rival. He can't beat Pep, he has the beating of him all hands down, so Pep trying to sign Sanchez made him bristle and think he had the chance to get one over on him. "Yeah look at me, he wanted him and I got him, me me me, I'm the best. Now, where the fuck do I play him and who do I drop?"
Getting 2nd and maybe winning the FA Cup buys him another season, but if things don't massively change then he needs to go. I don't expect the league, if City get to 100 points again there's very little we can do about it, but I do expect an actual challenge and some attacking football.

De Gea: "I'm happy for me, for the team, and I'm really, really proud."
He must be talking about Real Madrid right?

No wonder Smalling is still getting away with constant fouling when its all the managers fault regardless. And he was managed by Fergie, remember? I’m not saying it’s all the manager’s fault. He’s not blameless though. And he’s a hypocrite. I’m sorry he is. Playing favorites is fine, we all do it. And in the case of Matic and Lukaku I have no problem with it, they’ve both earned it imo, their standards have been excellent. But the Sanchez situation is entirely of his making. I don’t care that he’s been world class. I don’t care what he’s done for Arsenal. He’s done very little for Utd. 3 good games? 2 and a half? Tonight, what did he do? Nada. But he’s nailed on because he played well against Spurs. Done fuck all since mind. But it doesn’t matter because he’s a favorite. He doesn’t deserve to be but is. Bizarrely I enjoyed about 65 mins of that. Maybe I’m immune to the tedium now and seeing a bit of freedom in the first half shocked me, I don’t know. But as before, can anyone answer where the creativity is supposed to come from next year? The zip, the spark? I have no idea. Does anyone? Does Jose? Problem is, im not talking about Sanchez. Im talking in general. I agree with your post and have said Mourinho needs to go, but it is Groundhog Day on here regardless - the players can do no wrong. Especially those that have done nothing to warrant the backing. It shouldn't need to come from the manager that you don't play nicely with the oppo. It shouldn't need to come from the manager that you look after yourself regardless. Rooney got slated for it, despite all his goals and that. Shaw seems to get away with it (5/6 managers can't be wrong now surely, including Poch?) based on potential. Double standards no? It shouldn't need to come from the manager that you should be proud to wear the shirt, regardless of whether it is you 600th game or 6th. Its more telling that Lingard looks more like a United player than Martial, yet if it was a straight choice most would pick the wrong one. And then most wonder why we aren't heading for domestic and European titles. Its a 50/50 split between being the managers and players fault. Not a 90/10. Edit: Why is it "anyone" could have done Peps job at Barca and Bayern if it wasn't down to the players being professional regardless of the manager?

It's all a bit passe and exhausting over time! We need someone fresh and fun who plays exciting football bring back and exciting approach to the club He has more talented attackers than you could shake a stick at and we have a decent defence, but there is no direction on how they should play and no clear style. He sets up to play against teams, that;s shit for young players development and any long term cohesive style

Bailly Pogba Miki Ibra
Matic Lukaku Lindelof
Sanchez
They’re Jose’s buys. Not players he’s been ‘landed’ with, not what he is forced to work with, they were hand-picked, by him. When you look at that list what do you see?
I see power. I don’t see magic (bar maybe Miki but that didn’t work out), I don’t see much pace, I dont see improvisation, I don’t see genius to be honest. They are good players, a strong spine, a team that wont be bullied. But I dont see Scholes, Cantona, Beckham, Ronaldo, Giggs....
I spoke to a Utd mate the other night and we both agreed on one thing- you can see what the Scousers need to improve and to really challenge for the league. Now, because Klopp is an arrogant prick and because Liverpool are Liverpool they won’t fix it but imo if they bought a CB, RB and keeper of decent standard you could see them pushing City. But when you look at us, despite us finishing ahead of the Scouse (albeit by a few points) I honestly dont know how we fix our problems. How do we speed up our play? Where is that bit of magic going to come from? As I said, the Scouse won’t fix it but they should. Us? Honestly, I’m at a bit of a loss.

He'll buy a CB, LB, DM and a powerful MF player in the summer, blow about 250M and sell Martial We have 4 CB's between the age of 21-28 3 under 26. I would buy an older CB that doesn't cost too much a good holding mid and blow the rest of Christian Eriksen

Not sure if this is correct, but I read that since Ferguson retired no team has more 0-0 draws than United, with 19 (level with Southampton).
Jesus wept.
