Just to reiterate: according to the article above, Jose said after the game that: “without Fellaini we don’t have a presence”

This game just about summed up the season IMO. Toothless, un creative and second best all round.

Balls to football.
Still reeling over that shit.
Make the first signing of the summer a new fucking manager please. One that is competent.
We're like a F1 car that won't go over 30mph.

Totally with Paul, our first signing has to be a new manager. Jose simply is not good enough, he is killing these attackers, I don’t care if we deserved to win of hard a good second half, bottom line we lost to a team that if we had any attacking acumen for 90 minutes would and should be beating everyday of the week inc Sunday. LVG got sacked after winning a cup and because his football was shocking, Jose is exactly the same, pay him off and get someone that will develope these very good players and make them world class, that was the magic of Fergie

That's the one and only thing the money people care about.

1. The reality is Jose got a taste of his own medicine and whether or not we deserved to win is irrelevant.
2. If we lose Martial this summer because of the situation Jose created with Sanchez it'll be infuriating. It's one thing if Sanchez joined and was actually playing better than Martial, but how on earth do you justify dropping your most in-form player from his strongest position/completely for a player who isn't doing much good? 3. Looking at Martial yesterday once he came on, we're obviously a better team when he is playing (you can tell defenders hate playing against him, they seemed so on edge) but yes, he isn't a world-class player yet. He will be. Just like it 'clicked' for Ronaldo, it will 'click' for him and when that happens he will tear teams apart. Probably not here.
4. Enough with Young at LB, I conceded that Shaw is leaving so I'm not going to talk about him here, but Young can't be more than a squad player next season.
5. Valencia I think is doing much better than Young, the difference really is that we're lacking a specialist RW to support him (we all thought this was going to be Sanchez, but I guess that made too much sense and caused no problems at all for Jose). Solve that and he'll have someone to play with.
6. I can't recall who wrote this, but if I had to judge based on our attacking play, it really does seem like Jose started coaching this team earlier in the parking lot. What is our attacking play even? how do we break teams down? what is our style? (I know the answer - aim long to the big guy, I just hate it so much).
7. Even though he technically played the most games under Jose, I think Rashford has regressed under him (especially his attacking instincts).
8. Jose will be given one more season for sure, there's no point to assume otherwise. He has to win the league though, and he has to improve his style of football. Jose has to accept that his methods are a little outdated and that players are different today. He has to evolve, or he needs to retire - honestly, it doesn't seem like he's even enjoying his job anymore, so why make us all suffer?

Can you see Jose changing much next season? this is how he is, how he plays, we are too many huge changes away from success in terms of style and players.

I can't recall being so calm after losing a cup final. The second half of this season just sucked out the entertainment from football, with just the odd moment of joy (e.g. the cup semi). This has felt so midtable both in terms of football and being competitive, and the former bothered me a lot more. It is absolutely astonishing that we are devoid of any ideas going forward after all the money that has been spent. Our defense isn't all that either. Shaky as fuck, and has to thank DDG for being the best in the business and Jose for keeping 2 CM in our own half to protect them at anytime against anyone.
And all that happened after Sanchez was brought here to fix one of the only things that were not broken in that squad. Martial definitely deserves criticism for some mediocre performances but it would be a disaster if we were to lose him on the back of that bizzare decision to bring Sanchez at his expense.
And now to another summer where a bunch of names will be mentioned, bought and get internet forums buzzing. Fuck sake, what happened to the football I used to like?

I think we’ll get more of the same in the big games, but my guess is that with the midfield and defensive reinforcements Jose is planning to add, we’ll be much more solid vs bottom half sides. Will it be enough to match City if they have another season like this one? Probably not, I think with some tweaks we’ll be able to get an extra 12 points next season.

So if José is sacked-highly unlikely, but I wouldn’t shed a tear if it did happen- who replaces him?
