Hopefully he's the last midfield player we need to 'unlock' Pogba. Didn't see the game last night but a lot of people are raving about Fred's performance. Good to hear. Look forward to seeing more from him.

Really looking forward to this lad. Think his signing has been underplayed by the CB and RW drama.

Really looking forward to this lad. Think his signing has been underplayed by the CB and RW drama. It was sorted so early too, along with the Fabinho for the scouse. Feels like an age ago.

92.3% pass success, not bad for his debut match in the Prem....

He was positive. True, he made a couple of boobs. He definitely got knocked about a lot and got caught in possession a couple times, however, he could well be a superstar for us. Glad he's here.

Refreshing to see that on one occasion when he was clearly fouled and ended up on his arse, he just got up and got on with it. He took his yellow without whinging too. On first viewing, he doesn’t appear to have his fellow Brazilian’s over-dramatic temperament (thank fuck!)

He got knocked about a lot? You were watching a different game to me mate. As I said in the match day thread, thought he was fantastic. Good in possession and he's got a bit of a nasty streak in midfield. Exactly what we need. As regards getting caught in possession it was only once or twice so I'd cut him some slack as it was his Prem debut.

Like New Zealanders in rugby and Ethiopians in middle distance, some nations are just made for certain sports. Brazilians are for football. It’s great to have a good one back in the side. Rafa has been missed, Fred can take up the mantle.

Two of them with Pereira! For some reason I always forget he’s Brazilian! Born and raised in Belgium, so that's probably why!

did well for his PL debut. a lot to work on still but a lot to work with.
he could be brilliant and just what we need in our midfield to balance it out.
love how aggressive he is and that he takes no shit.
