Thing that was most worrying was the lack of any identifiable style of attacking play, or even a system as a whole. Other than the same boring shit from last year...take no risks, pass sideways.
Liverpool's kids when they all came on in the second half just slotted in seamlessly and carried on with high press game. Our kids looked like the only ones who wanted to do anything when they came on and probably because Jose's not had chance to coach it out of them.
Not sure if I'll watch the Real or Bayern games, don't like cricket scores.

It looks like we are well and truly fucked this season and I am not saying this because of our preseason isn't great, I am saying this because of the things he says in the interviews. Season is not even started and he has started to moan about a lot of things.
How the fuck he is going to motivate the players with that attitude! I am more concerned than excited with the start of the season

I wonder if Tony V will receive the same treatment Shaw has for his "poor condition". Public bollocking of players and that comment about fans wasting their cash on pre-season friendlies, which will piss off the money men, suggest he wants out. Stink the place and out by Christmas. Keep seeing people bringing up LVG's first season as an example as to why you shouldn't read too much into pre-seasons but to add some balance, just having a quick look and we usually had good and goals filled pre-seasons under Fergie, usually went on to be quite successful during the season IIRC as well.

I mean seriously. Calling out the club captain, a player who is known as a model pro, a player who has worked his arse off to come back from horrendous injuries, who has learnt and excelled in a new position late in his career?
It does at least break from his norm. He’s picking on one of the big boys now, rather than a kid. Let’s see how that works out for him.

I've calmed down a bit from last night.
Does Jose have an excuse for literally every aspect of his management?? Also this habit of getting excuses in early before games and targeting the likes of Tony V is fucking embarrassing.
I'd love to be coming on here in a positive mood but as one of the guys on here said the other night, Mourinho is giving us no indication and we have zero evidence that things in general have really changed.
My expectations for this season are so low it's untrue.
Any game against Liverpool matters to me, I don't really want to hear excuses being rolled out because other teams have shit going on but don't feel the need to moan about it.

With all the players who are likely to still be missing, this is the best lineup I can think of for our opening game. Which despite being less than ideal, should still be capable of beating Leicester.
Whether we will or not is a different matter.

That's capable of beating leicester? Yep. As I said it's less than ideal but it's still better than anything Leicester can put out.
It won't win though because he'll set them up in a way which will make sure of that.
