As has been said on here in recent days, get the corrupt Saudi's in before our mid-table status is cemented forever. Let's compete with the Scousers and Bertie's and get the club back to where we should be. Saudi's instant investment please. Why do we need the Saudis to compete with the scousers? It's not like they have oil rich backers either. In fact, before this summer their owners were penny pinchers themselves for the most part. |

That matchday revenue dip is huge, even if it's the smallest of the main revenue streams. Does CL second round vs. EL final the year before account for nearly all of it? It's the merchandise one that will worry the gimps, particularly given a big chunk of the broadcasting one just comes from the PL anyway regardless of how we do. |

I don't think it's as much needing the Saudis to compete with Liverpool because of the money, I think it's getting the Saudis in means getting rid of the gimps and maybe being run like a football club again. |

The Saudis are probably the only realistic option to get rid of the gimps, especially with the 4bn price tag, so it's either have the leeches in charge, or have somebody in charge who doesn't care about money and will hopefully out the club's success first. All depends whether you can live with the Saudis owning this club I can't. I know the football club would be released from its shackles but that's me effectively finished with football if we jump in bed with the worlds biggest cunts. |
