This is a separate discussion away from our current manager where there is enough elsewhere. I think Jose will be gone after this season regardless whether that is off his own steam or that of our boards.
3 managers now appear to be hinting that they haven't been backed. So what is the strategy here ? A lot of money has been spent no doubt but again 3 managers in since Fergie and we've signed a lot of duds. We can't shift the deadwood. Rumours of having to sell before we buy. Penny pinching over Perisic and after a very good World Cup he's being valued higher than 12 months ago.
Ed was given a list of transfer targets months back and we have 1 by all accounts.
Are we just paying lip service to this biggest club in the world myth? Being referred to as an adult Disneyland when Ed was trying to get Klopp to sign as manager.
Spurs are building a new stadium, Everton and Chelsea are looking at redevelopment of their grounds. Even Liverpool have invested in their ground. Apparently we are now shelving plans to do whatever and spending on transfers instead. 1 first team transfer this summer with less than 2 weeks until deadline day.
Our stadium looks dated. I'm not saying I want a brand new one but the one now needs some serious investment.
At at what point are the fingers going to point at one of the main issues we have regardless of which manager is in charge? Fergie covered their arses (rightly or wrongly) for years .

They're leeches and thats it. They don't want to keep investing money currently as it takes away from the money they can remove. We can thank the McManus Vs Fergie row over a horse for putting us in this mess.

More money for them, more profit for them, you get the picture. They don't give a fiddler's fuck about the team.
There was an article relating to them somewhere last season about their lack of investment in Old Trafford etc.
Hasn't been a lick of paint on the outside of the stadium since God knows when, the wi-fi for the media in the ground is dodgy as fuck, one of the few stadiums in Europe not to have screens installed, etc, etc..
Sure the Glazers are utterly fantastic.

Probably need to shovel another load of debt to pay for it to be brought up to scratch. The biggest club in the world. Like feck it is, not with those vampires.

The only way to invest in the stadium would be an expansion and Its not as simple to just expand the stadium, its the work that that would be involved because of the railway line behind the Sir Bobby stand. The other stands were expanded a lot easily because they were backed onto carparks owned by the club. They don't own the railway line so the cost would be a lot more than expected. Its possible and may one day happen but I don't see it being anytime soon as the railway would have to be moved and those cunts aren't going to pay for that. The other option would be to move to a new stadium and fuck doing that. I agree there is a significant lack of investment into the club but I don't think the stadium is one of the major parts.

They could still modernise it without necessarily increasing the capacity. It looks tired and dated.

Paul does make a good point about the issues behind the Bobby Charlton Stand, didn't take them into account.
Agree with you too karma, it is most certainly tired and dated.

Investment into the existing stands has fuck all to do with the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand. I go as much as I can and love OT like my own childhood home, and like that it isn't simply another generic build-by-numbers modern stadium (e. g. Emirates is just a baby Wembley without the arch). Doesn't change the fact it has needed significant investment for years. The Hundreth Anniversary year would have been a perfect time to do it.

If the investment means expansion it does as its the only way of doing so. I agree there are other area's that need investment though that have been neglected. Aslong as the stadium is one piece and isn't falling apart they won't give a fuck about anything to do with it unless it makes them money. Which it won't unless they decide to expand, which will cost them a shit ton of money to do so they won't do that either.
