Apparently someone at the protest burned an American flag. Absolute scenes on Reddit. There are a lot of angry people and a lot of hot takes in those threads, which isn't surprising, because you know, Reddit. My favourite take is that singing a terrace song to the tune of a song that happened to be written in America while burning an American flag is the height of irony... On the irony scale it's somewhere just below having 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife.
Anyway, thanks for the images Stretty. Hopefully there'll be an even better turnout during the scouse game.
amazing that so many have turned out. hope it continues and keeps gathering steam. it cant stop until the bastards are out and never step foot in manchester again.
4bn is a hell of a lot of momey, but there a few family's that could afford that now. hope Jeff Bezo's or Jack Ma fancies diversifying. imagine this club with owners like them!
4 billion yet they’ve not spent a penny on the stadium, took around 2 billion out of the club just to finance it and still have a 500 million pound debt outstanding.
There isn’t a death gruesome enough for this family!
Its just criminal how much they have taken out , not sure what the debt figure is but it was circa £474,000,000 in October 2020 and believe it or not we still owe £188,000,000 in transfer fees to other clubs where we haven't paid for past transfers.
How can they ask for 4 billion for the club what a joke
They have just ruined one of footballs great clubs and Woodward will be forever known as the man who facilitated the takeover and destruction of Manchester United. I hope they write that on his grave gutter dwelling little shit weasle.

Holy fuck! I wasn't aware of the transfer debt! Any links for that?

If you use Twitter & follow @swissramble they have published some really in depth stuff again this morning, warning it makes depressing reading!
A little snippet below.
Apart from fucking up transfers & managerial appointments, exactly what has Woodward been doing for the last 4 years other than treading water?
However, this disguises some worrying points about commercial income for some clubs. Zero growth at #MUFC in last 4 years (and TeamViewer deal much less than Chevrolet). #Inter down a third (£50m) in 2019/20 (termination of Chinese sponsorships), and #Milan has steadily declined.
Swiss Ramble @swissramble · 2h The harsh reality is that after all the Glazers financial engineering, #MUFC still have £526m debt, which is the second highest in the Premier League, only “beaten” by #THFC £831m. Therefore, the draining of the club’s resources will continue for the foreseeable future.

4bn is a figure that makes no sense. Imagine forking out 4bn and the club still being 500m in debt. It could easily end up in the hands of administrators or a hedge fund.
