The Evening Standard say we are close to signing Andrea Berta, who is currently Atleti’s DoF. what a signing that would be. the amount of talent Atletico unearth and nurture is incredible. they always have superb forwards. as for; Mata - he cam leave if we get a fee for him. if not keep him as hes a useful squad player Herrera - keep as a squad player Young - can leave if he wants to hes served is purpose. if he wants to stay on a lesser contract then that would be fine |

I mean its a great deal and stops the whole Pogba / Raiola circus but does that really solve anything for us? We'd still need to get another replacement for Pogba and who could rally do that in the world?

That depends. A midfielder who is quick, strong, great passing range, can shoot from distance, carry the ball up the field past 3/4 players easily, can drive the team forward. That midfielder is difficult to replace. The midfielder we have, who has had half a dozen decent games for us, and has been average most of the time, will be easy to replace. |
