Apparently we're goibg to resign Zlatan and are in for Alderwiereld and Willian in Jan The transfer fun begins. If I'm honest I think I'd be even more pissed off if we were to sign Alderwiereld in Jan of Jose is still here by then. Mainly because we pissed about during the summer and they didn't back him but would chose to do something in Jan. Would sum up the shocking management within the club if it happened though.

do we think we will have DoF in place before this window ? we surely have to bring in a CB. LOL! We're never getting a DoF. Not whilst Woowar gets all the limelight. Yeah I can't see it happening soon...just trying to take the heat off himself for his bleating to the press...which backfired.

It's not like City's geniuses got it right all the time. I can't be bothered listing the many poor expensive transfers particularly at the back, but they seem to act quickly and get rid of them and replace, but it has been particularly evident since Guardiola came and he did it quickly! His signings have been very good and so have Klopps
We seem to hang on to mediocrity and over the hill players who are so overpaid we can't get rid of. That also happened at City at the start and up until Guardiola came in.
Woodward, Mourinho and what the fans want are not the same thing.
I'd suggest they get him Alderweireld in January, cement 4th and put up a performance in the cups, then make the managerial changes in the summer! That's the optimistic view for this year. The meltdown scenario would be untinkable

There are people already being spoken to mostly in Italy. Monchi, Paratici and Domenico Teti are all of interest. Hopefully someone to bring us into the 21st century and a top coach too eventually We can finally switch the circus for entertaining football and start winning shit again.

So this group of players is ready to win titles under the right manager?? Potentially. What is absolutely 100% nailed on is that they won't win a League title under the current manager.

I can't see them winning a league title if Fergie came back and managed them. Don't get me wrong, I love the players, or most of them, but I am not sure that the talent is there to win a league title under any manager.
LOL probably cuz I am a Chicago sports club fan, but in this day and age where money is the end all be all, unless the owners are willing to spend the money to stack the club with world class talent, I don't see trophies no matter who is managing.
Manager now has proven when the talent is there, he can win titles, I just don't see anyone winning league with the players there, no matter how much I like them

We'll end up with a squad of 30yr olds, more shit boring football and still won't win the title no matter how much he's proven in the past he can win a league. His heart has gone, his head has gone and he's fast becoming obsolete amongst his peers.

So get rid of him right now, an who is going to come in and win titles without spending the 350Mil to buy a winning club?? I hate that pro sports has gone so hard over to the money. One of my favorite things to follow was a Cinderella club winning a title against all odds. When the game felt like maybe with a bit more work when he was younger a fan could maybe be a player. Except for Basketball, where I love to watch the players an not so much a team, it is why I don't follow pro sports except for United.

Especially if Fergie were at the helm like you used as an example.

So this group of players is ready to win titles under the right manager?? With the right manager yes. This is the strongest our midfield has been since the 2008 side. We have excellent options up front and a world class keeper. Sure our back 4 is still lagging but this is where Jose is supposed to help with his reputation.

I'm not even sure what point you're trying to make, maybe follow Leicester from now on? We all want to win titles, but after the last 5 years I'd bet the majority want to just enjoy watching us play football and not have it feel like an obligation because that's what we've always done on a Saturday, but a privilege. I find myself watching it, just because it's what I'm used to

I can't argue, and will have to look at the matches different when I watch them, I am still learning to watch so that I am seeing whole game an not always following the ball. Never had the matches televised to extent they are now, and still learning to watch the game on TV without always following the ball, they don't stop every 45 seconds for slow mo like they do in NFL footsball
HMMMMMM Bite me! I knew what the point was even if no one else did

Fergie would piss this league with the squad we have.

Fergie would piss this league with the squad we have. I'm not entirely convinced of that. The amount of money has made more of a level playing field from top to bottom. I think we would be giving it a better go than we are now for sure!
