I think this situation's different though. With Moyes and Van Gaal we were comfortably mid table ish. We are in danger of tumbling towards the relegation zone. This team, half of whom I would fuck off in the next transfer windows aren't playing for him. We haven't played any of the big teams away yet. They don't have the luxury of sitting on their hands here. This goes beyond top 4 now. Not that I credit the gimps to acknowledge that! Blimey Karma, have you had a Road to Damascus moment? He was given a contract extension but not backed properly in the summer. Every man and his dog knew we needed players to build on 2nd place but our owners priority is top 4 and though the squad was good enough. Bailly and Lindelof have been a stick to beat him with because 1 is woefully off form and the other may never be good enough. It's almost like they've said you fucked up with those 2 so make do. But seemingly Ed was boasting that they tried to get Varane. He probably forgot to mention he was laughed out of the building as well. Then our CEO thought it was a good idea to undermine his manager on the eve of the PL season, seemingly to cover up his own ineptitude. Remember this twat overpaid for Fellani with his release clause, allowed Zaha to go for peanuts and gave Nani a new contract and then allowed him to go out on loan. Thick twat doesn't do him justice! Like the managers before him, the players have smelt blood. It's obvious they aren't playing for him. He's probably not helped himself tbf but neither has his boss! I expect the board will hope we can get something from our next two games, then the International break follows , no doubt they will hope we can rumble on in some way ? When you have lost lost most of the players it doesn't need a road to Damascus . But trying to cling on in that situation is just ridiculous regardless of what I think of Jose.

That's just not true the last few years. We have spent heavily and we have the highest wage bill in the PL and a large squad. Woodward is like a drunken sailor in a brothel with his wages! It's not money, it's an organised vision for the club and stability with the right coach and someone who can help with that under Woodward a DOF or head of recruitment We get that right and we are on the pigs back. Spending money while not modernizing the club’s structure is laziness if not complacent. Nothing will change until real football minds are at the top making the decisions. I think it's a mixture of a few things. The succession from a 25 year manager and the CEO at the same time and no football people with any real executive influence around to advise. The rebuilding of an ageing squad and a string of poor appointments. I don't think it will continue. I doubt he will appoint another manager before an executive is put in place with that type of experience. I mean Woodward didn't even have any CEO experience to start with. He was promoted, let alone any real experience of the cut throat world of football managers and agents. He should be booted out for what he has done, but I doubt he will. You have to hope that he delegates to someone good and together they get it right the next few years

This is exactly the right time to bring in a DOF before a new manager is brought in (whenever that may be).

logic says if a manager has lost more than 50% of the dressing room, right or wrong he needs to go. unless the half that have his backing are peak schmeichel, peak maldini, peak keane and peak brazilian ronaldo he needs to be paid up and let out.
Pick fights with your players when your winning champions leagues and league titles! Pogba is a world cup winner and is in peak power to fight back, Jose should have realised this, especially after he didn't get his needs list in the summer from Ed, the message that sent was a real eye opener.
Sad thing is manchester utd and Jose Mourinho both have one big thing in common, past glories! both stuck there!
oh and let's be clear not back Jose in the summer was the right one. sell martial and replace him with?? bought lindelof, issues with Bailly and then replace them?? they are both young and bottom line is Jose should be improving players, getting an extra 20-30% out of them not binning them off because he is failing on his duties

By the way, I bet MUTV was saying 'it's only 7 games in' and 'what an overreaction'.
If Juan Mata puts out his 'must do better' blog tomorrow, I'll hunt him down and strangle him. lol.

Was going to ask if anyone had seen the nodding donkeys on MUTV? They’d have said fuck all, that why I binned the channel last year.

VDS another, but he’s (apparently) said “no” right now first and foremost we need a head coach. The only reason why Jose wasn't backed in the summer was because age trust was eroded, can't keep throwing money at this especially when the self proclaimed 'special' one is the boss. specialist in failing to get us 3 points right now

MUTV isn't the best place to go for an unbiased opinion. They dropped David May after he stuck the boot in to one of the last two managers. Can't remember which one it was. He came back a few days later after they were sacked.

We are basically doing what City did when the Sheiks rocked up and throwing silly money around and building a team of money grabbers. As soft as shite when the going gets tough most of them. Our CEO is in part responsible and has been since Fergie left!

Mourinho is giving the bird to Woodward. Herrera in a back three; rinsed. Replace Herrera with McTominay today.
The bean counter stiffed Mourinho in the Summer, this is Mourinho getting his own back, knowing the Gimps won’t want to pay his severance deal.
Oh to be a football club, again. Maybe one day.

Just heard from my mate who was at the game that the majority of the away support were pissed off because Luke Shaw and Rashford were the only two players who came across to acknowledge them at the end of the game.
Rest of them fucked off, this isn't going down well at all.

Maybe instead of continually renewing them we could ship some out ?
