In all seriousness all toilets should be unisex. That's the last thing I expected to read which began with "in all seriousness". If you want all toilets to be unisex, you may as well roll out the red carpet for every pervert and sex offender in the area to make your toilet their favourite hangout spot. |

In all seriousness all toilets should be unisex. That's the last thing I expected to read which began with "in all seriousness". If you want all toilets to be unisex, you may as well roll out the red carpet for every pervert and sex offender in the area to make your toilet their favourite hangout spot. Not a chance. You just have a door with a lock on the other side. Floor to ceiling door. Have the wash basins in the comumal area. No one can get in to the toilet. No urinals in that area. Only problem is at a football game it would take too long. It doesn't empower perves in anyway. It's been a fucking pain in the ass not being able to take my girls to the toilet. We do have them in parks already. They are electric and the doors lock once you go in the doors only open if you wash your hands. Plus parents rooms when available are unisex. |

There's a reason the public bathrooms are closed off spaces. Edit : portable toilets in parks is utterly different from bathrooms in a mall or restaurant. |

Diasbled toilet actually have the wash basin in them you just open a door in the hall, lock it, do your business, wash you hands and leave. There is literally no down side. The privacy is increased exponetially. No pervert will stand in the hallway of a mall waiting for some girl to come out, that's ridiculous. There aren't parents rooms in many places so I've had to plenty of times walk into the edge of the girls toilets and issue advice and try and talk to my daughter and check up on her. It's a gigantic pain in the ass. It offends me that society doesn't trust me to walk in there with her. Disabled toilets during toilet training are a fucking blessing. Edit. They aren't portable toilets in parks. They are permanent. Who's ever heard of electric portable toilets. This whole thing is bizarre. How are open hand wash areas unhygenic? How many perves are walking aroud where you live? How would they hang around these toilets without arousing suspicion? Most people who are assaulted are assaulted by people they knoe. They are designed to improve cleanliness and security. Only issue is we don't have enough of them. |

Look , a long queue is a price to pay to avoid some of the smells emanating from the men's bogs. Why change that for a small minority?
My husband said they used to get fans pissing in the sinks when the urinals were full when he went years ago.
