I'd love that to happen mate. But the thing is that we all know that he's going to be a prick from here on in and pick his favourites for games. Expect Lukaku, Matic, Tree and McTominay to feature because they're the players who he feels are behind him. The likes of Chong, Mason Greenwood, etc should be playing but the miserable bastard will be having none of it. Greenwood is 16 years old. I don't disagree that he should be playing more kids but let's not be going overboard here. Norman Whiteside made his debut for us two weeks shy of his 17th birthday.
I've seen a lot of Mason Greenwood recently, the kid is absolutely tearing it up. He's brilliant. Yes, he signed his pro forms a while back but I'd have no hesitation putting him in.

The club have wheeled out Ashley Young to say that everything is fine. What's everybody worried about? He says he sees it 'throughout the building' the commitment of the players is just hunky-dory etc, etc... Well what else is going to happen? I'm sure you wouldn't but he might not be ready yet. Chong is likely more ready to make the jump then Greenwood. But rushing the kids into this toxic environment likely won't benefit them either. Protect them and let the new manager bring them in. |

Norman Whiteside was built like a brick shithouse. Greenwood is a child in physical terms. A very gifted one but still a child. |

While Mourinho is in charge I wouldn't play any of the kids, don't want to see them anywhere near that first team.
They want to play for the shirt and win. He will destroy their confidence in a flash.
Christ we're struggling to get Pereira and Fred into the first team let alone kids do Greenwood or Chong won't be happening anytime soon.
To be frank I'm giving less and less of a shit about half of these players under Mourinho as the weeks go by. He's a massive problem but the players attitudes have been gutless.
We're talking about "we should win here"...its at home against fucking Newcastle ffs. Just when you think shit can't get anymore depressing than the previous 2 managers we find another level to sink to.
