Is it boxing day yet? Can't wait for us to score 6 so rival fans can say 'it's only Huddersfield' I want rid of Huddersfield. Smashing six past them would be a great start.

I want to see Mata restored to the side next match. Matic is looking really tired. I love Matic but he seems as if he’s only got half a tank of gas. I’m wondering what chaos will ensue having Lukaku and Alexis back in the mix. I like the speed and movement today, not sure we need either of them, tbh. I Can't wait to see how Sanchez will respond.

He is definitely trying to get the confidence back. It's noticeable how many times he mentions how good they are, the boys, the team etc. I can pretty much guarantee he won't be calling individuals out publicly. I really enjoyed that yesterday. Felt for Dave. I was hoping he'd get a clean sheet. It looked like Rooney was itching to spill some beans on BT. Fair play to him for getting in touch with Ole.

The next run of fixtures is vital for that. Easier on paper, allowing for some experimentation and getting the season back on track. Top four is not very likely, but if we can put relegation fodder to the sword then it is a huge step forward. A couple of thrashings and teams will not fancy their chances playing us, and sit back ready to have their arses kicked. When they play City and the scousers we call this "rolling over". It's the fear factor that we have lost ages ago. We were just too fucking predictable to worry about. We knew the shit we were going to be served, and so did the opposition. Route one football, and plan B was route one football with a different, bigger head to hit. Watching us attack down the flanks yesterday was like watching a different sport.

Top top game ! It has been so long since we had this kind of entertainment !
It was a joy to see the movement and the fast tempo of the game, surging runs from lindelof from the back , quick touches from forward players , and martial showing his undeniable quality , his stats for us even after playing his entire career under van gaal and Jose is fantastic.
The initial excitement will wear off and there will be much harder challenges which is when a managers true ability will be tested , but this is almost a perfect start ! ole ole ole

This was marvelous. To all of the people who are saying or thinking "let's not get ahead of ourselves, it's only Cardiff," I say, this is all about enjoying a precious period of time after too many years of negativity. Even if we finish 8th with Ole but produce some lovely football, this will be well worth it for me.

It's crazy how not slagging your players off, not telling the media your squad isn't good enough and actually building them up by saying how much you rate them, can give them the confidence to go out and produce a performance like that. Who'da funk it?
Speaking of Rooney, I think he talks a really good game. Thought the same when he was on MNF a few months back. Think he'd be a good addition to either Sky or BT's team when he retires.
My feelings towards him are starting to mellow since he left and I'm starting to like him again, appreciating what he once was for us. Whenever I've seen him speak about us he speaks like the club still has a huge place in his heart which, lets be honest, a lot of people had doubted over the years.
