He was good. Pogba ran the show, though. I also thought Fred was excellent He really wasn’t. I don’t think he’s quite good enough.

Midfielders like Pogba just don’t grow on trees. He can be frustrating at times, the shielding the ball thing he does for little or no reason which can often result in loss of possession is maddening but he is capable of things that literally only one other player in the league, De Bruyne, can do. We used to have world class players all over the Pitch a decade ago. Now we have 2, Pogba and DDG. In a week Ole has started to make Utd look like a side built around Pogba, with plenty more to come. Sometimes the best thing to do is the simplest.

I also thought Fred was excellent He really wasn’t. I don’t think he’s quite good enough. Before I said goodbye to Castles last week, he did mention that Brazilian mids tend to take time to settle in England. Fabinho is only now starting to play, Fernandinho didn’t perform straight away either. I think he’ll do ok.

Didn't see the game so can't comment on his performance, but there is a big difference between excellent and decent. Which was it?

We absolutely hounded them in the middle of the park and he was a key ingredient in that.

Was decent mate, he needs to impress me a little bit more and show it every game but he was good.

Especially noticed today the crowd deffo picked it up a level. That new Ole chant with Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Fred was going constantly for ages. We need more of that from the home crowd. Gutted even more now I turned down tickets to it.

What a difference 10 days makes, the upturn in attitude and morale is palpable, even as far away from OT as my man cave!
