So Mourinho dropped tools is what you are effectively saying. Agreed. That Summer tour and his bad attitude was evident from the start. He knew he was not going to get unlimited transfer funds so he threw a season long fit. Benching Pogba at the klanfield was the last straw. Never a truer word said. Rather than do the best job he could with the personnel available to him he set about trying to prove a point, much to the detriment of the club. Some cant seem to see that.

I think today should probably be the end of Bailly at United. I'm sure he will be a top top centre back in a few years time but I don't think we can risk him ironing out his kinks in our first XI and he needs the games to get better. Jones and Smalling both have never really fulfilled their potential in my opinion and that was down to a lack of regular/consistent game time (injuries or being out of favour). I don't want to watch us go through the same thing with Eric when there are safer hands out there to partner Lindelof. I am not really in agreement with this despite all the negativity about our defence. Although I do agree a top class CB needs to be recruited. Bailly, Rojo, Jones and Smalling all have future at the club in my opinion unless of course they choose to go elsewhere in search of more opportunity. Putting injuries aside I think all would have been better players but for all the uncertainty that has been in and around OT. Today should be a big learning curve for Bailly, sometimes you think he is trying too hard. Rojo can be outstanding when fully fit and is suited to attacking football, so hopefully he can get fit, stay fit, and be a good squad man. Jones, again needs fitness and a confidence boost from a motivational manager. Smalling again would benefit from a more attacking approach. I think we would see all these guys in a different light come the end of the season with confidence restored.

Here is a thing that seems to have escaped most. Our first 3 goals today were all worked from the right. We seemed completely left sided under Mourinho. Young deserves a lot of credit for this also, which he doesn't appear to be getting. Some of his work today was reminiscent of how Neville used to overlap Becks

The problem is it shows the players are running the club. Where were they earlier in the season? Happy to pick up their wages though. With the manager taking the flak. Pogba is an absolute cunt & needs to be fucked off as much as Mourinho was. Funny how a couple of games changes people's minds. Where was this when we actually needed it? Bet he will be "injured" again when the scouse roll into town. I have never once wanted Pogba sold. If you remember correctly I said he should be given a chance under the new guy to see what he’d do. The result was performances like today. You might have a stronger argument if there wasn’t a fucking litany of fights caused by Jose at Chelsea and Real in particular. They’re all cunts too presumably? Including Ronaldo? And yet there’s one common denominator. You have players like Pogba and Martial who in your opinion down tools and just phoned it in. Players who up until now had no history of pricking about at previous clubs. On the other hand you have a manager who has a rap sheet as long as the Kray Twins when it comes to aggro. Who to believe eh? Pricking about (downing tools) perhaps not, but unchecked ego isn’t new. Look, I’m inclined to give everyone a chance under Ole, but I’m not willing to forget the first half of the season. Chances, sure, but there are some on their last chance and I’ve got an itchy trigger finger. Pogba isn’t stupid. He knows he’s now in the spotlight and his performances will reflect directly on him. Nobody knows for sure, but my suspicion is that the last 3 games are similar to his World Cup. He’s capable of turning it on in short bursts, but I am not convinced he’s capable of maintaining focus through 38 matches. I’d love to be proven wrong, but the proof will be in the next 6 months. If he reverts to his United norm, then he can go as SET suggested. There’s no place for that at this club.

He obviously possesses the skills, the fitness, the incredible financial rewards.... but without 100% motivation, he's going to end up being nothing but a waster (and a stupid dancer).

There needs to be a complete overhaul of our back 4. We need to move on from Darmian, Bailly, Jones and Rojo. Bring in two CBs, a fullback and give Axel a chance in the first team next year.

Tofu and Tuanzebe need to get a serious look in. Especially if OGS is still there and playing that higher, pressing midfield. I think this sort of decision(s) is what will separate the new OGS and the guy that failed at Cardiff. Dropping an established pro - Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Bailly - for the promise of "nearly there" youth. OGS will have to release a few of the underperforming guys in order to move United youth through.

PSG will be really interestig. Every chance they decimate our defence but with our attack playing like this we could inflict a fair amount of damage.

I would give some time to Bailly and Lindelöf under the new management. They are still young for a defender. Some good coaches and sport shrinks should be able to correct their problems.
I have not much hope for Rojo and Jones. They are prone to injury and it seems their body can't handle this level of load. I don't think a new management can do much more about this than the old one. Although medical science came a long way it didn't help these guys so far. I would let them both go. I wouldn't miss Rojo a bit I don't like the guy. I would miss Jones a little, I like him but it didn't work out.
We need a reliable experienced CB to stabilize the defense and to give the staff time to sort the rest out.

Ander Herrera was also Immense today doing the dirty work. There's a real Balance in midfield with him and Matic, Pogba has been unleashed because of this new found stability. Dirty work? He had an assist, through balls to pick our forwards behind the defense and almost scored himself from inside the six yard box! Like a new signing and it's not even January yet

The most annoying thing for me is the fact that this team could have been doing this since the season began. The personnel hasn't changed. In fact,we should be stronger with lukaku and Sanchez coming back. It's difficult to pin the blame on one thing. But Ole has come in and brought back something special. It's nothing to do with me, but I'd have him full time in a heartbeat. He gets what our clubs heartbeat is. Can you imagine being in the youth yeam set up, hearing the first team manager say there's always going to be youth in the squad. Man, you'd be buzzing, pushing on for that step up. That can only be beneficial for us. Three out of three games I've enjoyed under our caretaker. If he gets the headmasters job, I'm ok with that.
I wish. We can only imagine what happens next when we lose two on the trot and FM mentality takes over blaming everyone for not signing 3-4 players for 80 million each

Bailly is a phenomenal athlete. I wouldn't give up on him just yet. Even though he is currently an accident waiting to happen I think he can be taught to stay on his feet when necessary. He'll learn from his mistakes.

Bailly is great. He's just thick. I think a word in his ear should suffice.
