Has anybody watched much of Koulibaly who can shed any light on how good he really is? Think I've probably only seen him a couple of times max, pre all the hype. He’s probably the best CB in Europe. The Varane that played at the WC is not the Varane I’ve watched week in week out. KK doesn’t make the kind of mistakes Varane does which somehow get brushed under the carpet. Unfortunately he’s just signed a new contract so you are looking at insane money. Like 120 million insane. I still think Godin is the best CB in Europe. TBH I think he’s criminally underrated in the grand scheme of things. But admittedly I don’t catch much Serie A so hard to say re: Koulibaly.

Madness in my opinion. Toby would be available for 1/3 of that tops, which would leave 80 million for other additions. Another CB maybe, which would allow us to ship out Jones, Rojo and Smalling in one go Agreed Toby is the best choice. He’s arguably top 5 CBs in Europe and the price allows us to get a genuine superstar elsewhere on the pitch in the same summer.

The most annoying thing for me is the fact that this team could have been doing this since the season began. The personnel hasn't changed. In fact,we should be stronger with lukaku and Sanchez coming back. It's difficult to pin the blame on one thing. But Ole has come in and brought back something special. It's nothing to do with me, but I'd have him full time in a heartbeat. He gets what our clubs heartbeat is. Can you imagine being in the youth yeam set up, hearing the first team manager say there's always going to be youth in the squad. Man, you'd be buzzing, pushing on for that step up. That can only be beneficial for us. Three out of three games I've enjoyed under our caretaker. If he gets the headmasters job, I'm ok with that. Our problems stem from 1 A manager who felt the board no longer supported him 2 A CEO who thought it was a good idea to get involved in some tit for tat to cover his own incompetence. 3 Players caught in the middle Jose's right hand man leaving may have caused more problems than was initially suspected? Either way, Woody's a snivelling little twat and needs firing out of a Canon.

I doubt Koulibaly is worth Toby +80 million

I doubt Koulibaly is worth Toby +80 million Fortunately we don't need to upgrade our goalkeeper. Fixing our defence in the same way van Dijk has for Liverpool is priceless.
