It's probably down to selection and being a little cautious and nervy, but I'm hoping that the oast few games haven't just been a honeymoon period after getting rid of Jose and we keep going strong like we have been.

With that number of changes it is tough to make a statement. Ole has just said it himself. Thought Darmian had a good game at CB I thought. Yeah I get that but Fred, Scott and pereira should be doing better individually even. I think Fred needs some clear direction, Scott should only and only be a sitting player and pereira should be allowed to attack. Why that didn’t happen from the get go i’m Not sure. It’s all good and we’ll being able to attack attack but there will be games where we absolutely have to control the middle of the park, we allowed the defence unecessary exposure sometimes. I’m probably being harsh but I just want to see players playing out of their skin to say start me! If the players aren't playing out of their skins, then surely they should be fucked off? Wasn't a great performance at all, yet if Jose was here the call would be for him to be fired/he would be getting the blame. So unless people are calling for Ole to be fired, perhaps the players might finally start getting the blame?

Cant wait for some rag to produce the headline of how Sanchez and Ole have a huge bust up over seating arrangements.

Think some are being harsh on Fred as well, the lad hasnt been here long and hasn't exactly played a lot either. Today he showed both good and bad, some of his passing was incredible and was simply let down by those in front of him, he lost the ball a few times but didn't just stand there like some, he chased it down and tried to win it back. The lad needs time, yes shown he has talent there, just needs nurturing. Same goes for Periera, not enough game time then when he does play and isn't great he gets scrutinised.

How was it expected exactly? edit - Actually nevermind. Expected by me. Probably not by you. I'm not the type to get carried away by hype, neither is Ole. A sensible performance is what was needed. Next week is the time for expectancy. If you don't understand that, then err.... never mind

The lad needs time, yes shown he has talent there, just needs nurturing. Same goes for Periera, not enough game time then when he does play and isn't great he gets scrutinised. A differing perspective from Kris Voakes via Goal.com: www.goal.com/en-gb/news/mourinho-may-be-gone-but-freds-failings-remain-a-major/1w6i9ntns3yp21qjl1imga0g1t"Mourinho may be gone but Fred's failings remain a major concern for Man Utd Kris Voakes Man Utd Correspondent Kris Voakes Last updated 2 hours ago 06:31 1/5/19 FA CUP MANCHESTER UNITED V READING The midfielder is still to find his feet and has only completed 90 minutes once since August as he continues to fall short of the mark required. Whenever Jose Mourinho had one of his regular rants about Premier League rivals throwing a bucket-load of cash at problem positions, the standard response was for his adversaries to wonder why he’d ordered the £52 million purchase of Fred. And while the Portuguese was put out of his Manchester United misery in December, the midfielder continues to struggle under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Even against a bunch of Championship relegation candidates he failed to show nearly enough of the promise United would have been banking on seeing at some point. Saturday's 2-0 win over Reading in the FA Cup third round was the latest showcasing of Fred’s travails. For the fifth consecutive start he was hauled off within 20 minutes of the second half beginning, and with each curtailed start he cuts a more and more dejected figure. Playing on the left of a three-man midfield alongside Scott McTominay and the deeper-lying Andreas Pereira, the Brazilian was once more a passenger. In a United performance which saw them command only 40 per cent of possession, Fred’s inability to help get a rein on a modest Reading midfield was stark. Whereas most of the other senior players who had a nightmare under Mourinho have begun to deliver, Fred continues to fall short. Not for him the turnarounds which have seen Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford dominate since Solskjaer gave them a new lease of life. Fred isn’t the only one around whom questions remain, with Pereira still to provide any real proof that he can be a holding midfielder of significant quality in the Premier League following his conversion from a more attacking role. But any player who cost the club so much money is going to be under a brighter spotlight, and although another Mourinho signing, Victor Lindelof, has excelled so far under Solskjaer, Fred’s troubles will continue to be one of the Norwegian’s biggest headaches going forward. Another issue in the short term is the fitness of Alexis Sanchez, after he was withdrawn 64 minutes in due to what appeared to be a recurrence of his hamstring injury, but there were positives elsewhere. For a start, Solskjaer continued to promote the youth cause, giving Tahith Chong a 30-minute first-team debut, while Romelu Lukaku netted for a third successive game to give United their final margin of victory in first-half injury time. Juan Mata had given them the lead by converting from the spot after a lengthy referral to the Video Assistant Referee over a foul by Omar Richards on the Spaniard. In the second half, United’s pace rarely got anywhere near the level which had seen them rack up four wins from four in the Premier League, even after Fred and Mata had made way for Chong and the returning Marouane Fellaini. But while this continued Solskjaer’s unprecedented start to life at Old Trafford, the spectre of Mourinho remains in some of the issues on the field. Few are more pressing than the form of Fred.

40% possession, 2 goals, one of which was a penalty against lower division relegation candidates. Can't help but think this was the big chance for many of these to force their way into Ole's first team thoughts. That midfield 3 should have had enough creativity with Fred and Andreas, with Scott offering good views of the pitch (maybe). As mentioned, a deserved rest for the first team, a good run out for Chong, and 5 wins out of 5. Confidence should be high going into Spurs but I wonder who is going to do a job on Son, Ericksen, and Kane? This will be Ole's first real test.

Ole has done: What Moyes couldn't or wouldn't do What Van Gaal couldn't or wouldn't do What Jose couldn't or wouldn't do That needs to be recognised. Couple that with the fact he arrived as ready made club legend and that brings me to a single conclusion. Everybody should be right behind him. Believing in him and maintaining positivity. Not trying to drag us down again with doubt and negativity.
