It was hard enough for more experienced players to make a good impression in this game, nevermind a 19 year old kid making his debut.
I'd like to see Chong given 20 minutes here and there in league games where we've put our strongest side out.
For the record I didn't think he did too bad anyway. Tried a few things that didn't come off, he skinned someone in the centre at one point and layed the ball off for a 1-2 but never got it back. Didn't see the fear that has been suggested.
Of course we'd all loved to see him come on, go past 4 players and curl one into the top corner but this is real life, not FIFA. The kid has the talent, it's just about giving him the platform to hone that talent.

Am i the only one who felt Tahith chong looked very meh. He seems bit slow and afraid to take on players , when a young guy plays i expect to see a little bit of adventure and risk in his game. Hopefully its the nerves and he is better than i thought I certainly hope so.

I saw a new, young player (Zaha) on our pre-season tour here in Sydney years ago and see similarities in his and Chong’s performances in those matches. As long as he doesn’t “supposedly” shag the gaffer’s daughter, I’m sure he’ll come good!
