With 36% of the ball would be nice to control the game a bit more as well. Deffo wanna see Chong and Garner though at some point. Should see these off easily enough now after that 2nd goal.

Hopefully we see Chong and Garner in 2nd half for Mata and McTominay/Pereira, and Fred move back as dm.

It’d be really helpful if our midfielders stopped getting caught on the ball close to our own box. Our defence is bad enough, putting them under needless pressure really doesn’t help. At least Ole seems to want them playing out from the back. Instead of an aimless hoick up to Lukaku. |

Yeah I've seen enough of McTominay in that 45 minutes. Hard work will only get you so far. I'd swap him for Garner at half time to be honest, Garner is already better than him.

Yeah I've seen enough of McTominay in that 45 minutes. Hard work will only get you so far. I'd swap him for Garner at half time to be honest, Garner is already better than him. Shame really, had hopes for McTomminay but he really isn't good enough to push a first team place. |

McTominay has been Tree like. A bit of a foot stuck in and watching the play move past him. He is tall though. I think he's a bit more mobile than Tree but he's got to start having an impact on games. Thought we were looking to make him another Matic when he got into the team but he's neither here nor there at the moment. I have not seen the extra mobility. I see him late to the spot and then turns his head to watch the player/pass move beyond him. THEN he starts to turn and chase again. Frustrating really. He should be able to move side to side faster, however, he is not anticipating the game one bit. |
