So we have a pretty good starting 11 but depth is a problem. Any time we have to make more than 2 changes the shape goes to shit.

As soon as Lukaku is through the middle everything changes. Everything is slower and in the air. Countless crosses looking for the big man in the area. It's not even entirely his fault but it just reaffirms why I'd prefer to see Sanchez starting instead of him. You can bring him in without the style and shape of the attack changing too much.

I imagine the fact that Ole still hasn't had that much time on the training ground (9 games in 7 weeks is it?) plays a factor as well. Those who have played most games are mostly used to the system, those who have only played a couple probably aren't. |
