What players? Sanchez? Lukaku? Based on what? You’ve seen them play recently. Sanchez is particular is terrible. No amount of chest thumping or rah rah rah-big is going to disguise the fact that this is a serious blow that comes at the worst possible time. Im choosing this approach instead of giving up. I'm fully aware they're all lost causes and its obvious Martial and Lingard are massive blows but the game is a week away and I don't want to focus on the negatives if possible. Pick the best IX possible and fucking smash them because even with the players we have out we're still more than capable of beating these cunts. Anyway that is then, this is now. Miracles can happen and they could return sooner (unlikely but fingers crossed possible). As for this game we have no choice but to rely on the likes of Lukaku as we know he'll start. He needs to step up. No one is giving up. But it’s a bit simplistic to say we have the players to cover for their losses when all the evidence suggest we actually don’t.

And basic footballing ability.

I initially put down Sanchez’s form this year to a lack of confidence, playing time etc but he’s had a few bright moments you’d think would give him some momentum re: winner against Newcastle and goal against Arsenal. I’m 99% sure he’s done but that 1% in me hopes that this could finally be time for him to turn it around. Just play him centrally!

He looks like he can’t quite understand why football is so hard for him. All the lads who slow down have this exact same look. No speed to make up for lack of touch. It exposes the football brain once the legs go. Like most, I say give the minutes to Chong once United are 2 goals to the good. Lukaku and Rashford can play up top with Mata as the false 9. Sanchez should not even travel.

I just feel like he's not applying himself enough, and that his apparent lack of footballing ability is as a result of his apathy. I may be wrong I admit, but that's what it looks like to me, when I watch him play.

We get nothing down there usually but Ole could be the man to change all that, I would give Sanchez a final warning then banish the useless twat to the reserves if he doesent perform, give youth a chance instead.
