I'm more annoyed at Lingards chance than Smallings as it was on a plate for him. Just hit it first time instead of being clever and taking it round the keeper.
The injuries unsettled us in the first half but thought we recovered well enough to be able to take them considering we had a reserve midfield and half a Rashford.
Spurs have Chelsea and Arsenal next and we've got Arsenal in 3 weeks so the next three games are gonna be massive.

Shows how far we've come since the dark days of Mourinho, we started the game with 2 massive players missing, got 3 more injured just in the first half, played with essentially 10/10.5 men as we had another carrying an injury that would normally have seen him subbed, and yet most people are annoyed we didn't win. If Mourinho was still here I'd have been just praying we didn't get embarrased, hoping we just lose about 2-0, or maybe 3-1. Jose was sacked 2 days after that game. Do you not think the results of the season generally were anyway connected to his meltdown? We weren’t embarrassed last season at home it was a pretty comfortable win despite Bailly helping them along the way?

Ah, but if JM was still here Matic would've been expected to play regardless and don't forget we would have had the Tree to do a job for us as well. So definitely a 5-0 defeat! Matic has played every game since Ole arrived so that’s not the best point you’ve made is it? In fact despite the feeling on here that he would be getting less game time he has been a nailed on starter possibly contributing to his injury. Same goes for some of the other regulars who have got injured recently!

Same goes for some of the other regulars who have got injured recently! Probably because under Jose Matic looked completely finished. Others looked to have completely stalled in their progress. It is a pity though that so many players have looked so good since Mourinho went yet our squad, that Jose spent a considerable amount of transfer funds on, seems so damagingly threadbare. Forcing those who have performed so well to play each and every game. Quite possibly contributing to their injuries. But hey, I sure wish we still had Fellaini as Plan B/Really Plan A but we don't say that out loud.

Why is the Press not giving it to the Scousers about parking the bus?

What I was most impressed about yesterday was our adjustment after all the injuries. We sat back in games like these before under Jose but still would give up chance after chance. This is probably more the Phelan effect than Ole but just shows the range of tactics we’re capable of playing now. We shouldn’t be celebrating a draw at home but this is very good progress and potentially a sign of good things next year.

If we'd played like we did in the 2nd half yesterday against PSG then no way we lose 2-0 imo.
The speed in which Ole, the coaching staff and the players seem to be learning, adapting and progressing with each game is incredible.

Agree 100% we’d still be in that tie if it wasn’t for a few mental errors. It also shows how overhyped the front 3 of pool are. This is the second game in a row at OT where we’ve had them under control. They’re effective on the counter but showed a general lack of creativity when having to break a quality opponent down.

Pool have had a considerable amount of fortune this season along with City who have had one of the easiest set of fixtures in all the cups.

what really needs to be mentioned more often is, apart from the fact that we really look like a good attacking and counter attacking team again that can score at any given time, look at us defending. be it down to ole or mike, but i think we`re still the team that conceded the least amount of shots on our goal since ole arrived. there is still no doubt that we need to strengthen in that area come summer. ole and the staff have done such an outstanding job in all areas of the pitch. we conceded 6 goals in 10 league games, the opponents barely had any chances and if it continues like that the days of de gea being player of the season are gone. and like half the goals we conceded came from set pieces.
its just so hard to argue against ole, there is not one single area that we haven`t improved. as FGUAW said, the coaching staff and the players are learning so fast, adapting to so many different scenarios, troubles and situations. this looks like a proper football team, walking and working together, using different tactics, defending well, attacking with pace and power, taking on players. look at smalling and lindelöf for example, in the past they were just passing the ball back to the goalie and sideways. now as soon as they see a chance they move the ball themselves into midfield, creating a situation where we have more players than the opponent. everyone on the pitch takes risks and if it fails they track back and try to make up for their mistake. this is just beautiful to see, it warms my heart as a united supporter.
what surprised me most about ole`s post match interview yesterday was his positivity. i`m sure deep down he is dissapointed with so many injuries and knows this will be a tough time for us, but he keeps on smiling, saying we`ve got 2 days to recover and that he is not worried, he trusts the other players and we`ll be good. as a united supporter, i`m still over the moon at the moment and i havent felt that way for...well we all know for how long.
ole`s at the wheel!

I was delighted we got in at nil all at HT yesterday. That was insane what unfolded, similar to Nani’s red vs Madrid when we were all over the shop and Jose pounced. Then Fergie allowed emotion to get the better of him and reacted too late. Yesterday we reeled a bit but whatever Ole and Phelan did at the break was outstanding. We looked way more compact, the subs who had come on all knew what they were doing and the team was set up brilliantly. Honestly, if Smalling had got on the end of that cross or hadn’t have been a fraction offside we’d be talking about a famous, deserved win. The guy has it tactically, in droves. And it shouldn’t surprise us. He was condescended to as a player at first, given the league he came from, and blew that away in a couple of games. He was looked down upon as a manager because of a disastrous spell at Cardiff, which in retrospect was an incredibly difficult gig. He can’t do much more in my opinion. It would be madness to look elsewhere, and if even if our season gets de-railed by injury I’ll say the same thing.

I know I keep banging on about it but I am so bloody frustrated with the draw. We should have won. Fucking Lingard and Smalling. Smalling fucking twice with that needless offside. Even if it was close.
FUCK SAKE!
Scabby, scummy, hateful, deluded, bastard, scouse fucks.
