If Fred doesn't start, he may as well start packing his case. I think our best bet is to have him in the Pogba role, and Pogba in the Lingard role behind Lukaku and Alexis. Someone said yesterday that they think Fred was targeted by Jose as a Pogba replacement, because he was convinced he'd go this summer coming. Now Pogba looks to be staying and Fred is second or third best at pretty much every role in our midfield. No idea if it's true but it's an interesting theory.

Fred wasn’t bought to replace Pogba, he was supposed to replace/ rotate with Herrera.

He didn’t rule out Rashford and it sounds like Martial will be on the bench at the weekend.

He will start, I know it. Please.
cant see it. Pereira and McTominnay seam to be favoured more by Ole. I substitute your reality and replace it with my own

Really hope that if the likes of Chong, Garner or Gomes are used that they shine as well. Would love to see some new youngsters coming through under Ole.

If Fred doesn't start, he may as well start packing his case. I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning. If Fred can't force his way into the team when there's 10 injuries, his United 'career' is effectively over.

God knows what has happened, and continues to happen, with him TBH. Clearly it's not just Jose that doesn't rate him, and whilst it's been a bit easier to find room up top, Ole has given plenty of chances to the shite Sanchez, so it's not like he's adverse to playing out of form players at times.

Cant afford to rush him back early though just because we need him so we need to tread carefully there, with the amount of injuries we have now Im nervous as fuck that he's gonna go the same way Lingard did. Either play Chong there or play Fred through the middle and Periera on the wing.

We can afford to lose a game and still finish top 4, can't expect to go unbeaten for the rest of the season.
If there are doubts over anyone, don't risk it. We want players fresh and 100% fit for the run in, not out for the next month because we took a needless gamble.
Go with:
De Gea Dalot Lindelof Smalling Shaw Fred McTominay Pogba Sanchez (I suppose) Lukaku Perriera
It's a weak team and Palace away isn't easy, but it's time for certain players to step up. Defense should be fine, the midfield cost 140M and the forwards 100M so they really should have enough in their locker to get through this game.

I wonder if Fred will end up on the bench or on the field. Never been a better reason to use him
