the problem is, we have to watch him in full games and not just highlights. as he looked really good on MOTD. his chances he missed weren't as glaring as initially thought. I hope he sticks about, as a second striker, as there is no1 better at playing the back up striker role. maybe jesus. there is plenty of game time to be involved over a full season and it might just do him good not playing week in week out. im glad pogba isn't playing this week in the CL. Rashford isn’t reliable enough to allow us to get rid of Lukaku. We had 4 strikers when we won the treble. I know most teams favour 1 up front but even so we need 2 players for that position. Rashford was poor yesterday. Is he still carrying an injury? Replace Lukaku with Icardi and we are all good.

And lastly, whilst he's staying fit and has improved, I still think Shaw has a fair bit of room for improvement. Has a tendency to dawdle and get beaten too easily at times so hopefully that'll improve with a continued run of playing.

I think he needs to up his attacking side but he’s pretty much rock solid defensively, certainly since Ole cane in.

Maybe Lukaku deserves more respect ? His goal stats are better than his team mates . Why would you get rid?

Icardi is a wonderful player, but Karma is right. We've had rotten luck with South Americans, so signing one who is perpetually involved in drama sets off warning alarms. Has it been confirmed that Werner is officially off to Bayern? I think he would be a better fit than Icardi.

I struggle to think of a German player who has set this league alight with his performances. I'm happy to be corrected, but I just dont think Germans do very well here. If at all we get in a striker to replace Lukaku , I think it has to be Kane.

Kane would get a lot of goals for us and is premiership proven, getting him would be the problem.

It is strange how Lukaku can go from having a shocking touch to finishing so brilliantly in a few minutes, but goals are goals let’s see what OlePhelan can do with him for the rest of the season.

Now with Sanchez out, Lukaku knows that he will play and needs to score. This should be the test for Lukaku. Every good side needs a flat track bully.
