Our piss poor finishing cost us today. With Martial coming back, Lukaku should be on the bench again. 100% agree. Dire.

I'd like to see a tactical analysis/breakdown of the match, maybe Nev & Carragher will do it, because Arsenal was set up to be very attacking today and I'm not sure if Ole's formation capitalized on that or reacted to it or what shifts happened. I didn't feel any particular momentum changes. We were really slow in the first half. Individual mistakes cost us today but I wonder what was going on in the managerial chess match.

Lukaku should be shouldering a lot of the blame for tonight. Did I mention , I fucking hate losing to fucking Arsenal. They're a bunch of cunt fans who are only going to go and lose next week to relegation fodder while we miss a golden opportunity. Fuck off. Lukaku should shoulder about 3/4s of it. Aside from his misses his hold up play was abysmal. He was an absolute shambles, an inverse Mark Hughes. Did some good things but overall not good enough today. Which is why he's not the long term answer and no other big club will want him.

They haven't destroyed us, are lucky to be 2-0 up. Were well off the boil and some players well out of sorts. Rashfords been poor, but the whole of the midfield and Lukaku have been bad too. Lukakus misses are the worse for me. Whether you play well or bad you can't afford misses at the top level. This will bring us back down to earth, and hopefully Ole can pick them back up and get them working on the training pitch. DeGea having the rare error and Fred giving them a penalty didn't help either. Never in a million years was that a penalty.

Watch the Matic cam. He was a step slow and easily 10-15 yards too deep. Not nearly as much energy on the close out as McTominay has been showing.

Shit that. Not our day. Even game but a goalkeeper error and a penalty that shouldn't have been given is the difference. A welcome week off and we go again. Cant let this result derail things. A shite Arsenal side but no shame losing this fixture. Just too wasteful up front. First time we haven't scored away this season. Gutting more than anything. Yep, its annoying but what is important now is how we react to it. Fergies sides bounced back a lot. Ole will be saying this to the lads and hopefully we react well.

DeGea having the rare error and Fred giving them a penalty didn't help either. Never a penalty. Fred was behind him and had no chance of getting the ball, any attempt would brush him the way it did, and Lacazette felt it and went down. Fred should have had better positioning and when Lacazette got the inside on him he should have not made the challenge. I thought Fred was shit today, I know some on here disagree.

If the rents win again they'll go above us. Fuck sake. I cannot get my head around how we've managed to lose this. DDG brainfart, missing easy chances and a fat ref who can’t follow the action on the pitch and resorts to guessing. He guessed wrong and killed the game. Proud of the boys. They’ve been phenomenal over the last few weeks, especially given the injuries. We had the better chances and never looked beaten. Just have to accept to you run out of luck some day.

Every time I warm to Lukaku he lets me down. I don’t think he’s going to get more consistent.

Just shouldn't bother to play Lukaku against the top 6. It's in his head that he can't score. Lad can score epicly at PSG. Away from home but shat a brick with easy chances vs the Arse. Rashford was off the boil also. Massive shame as they both had chances.
Can't take anything away from Sokratis he was excellent but considering Arsenal played a day after us there is no reason in the world why they should have more energy than us.
Should have had Mc Tominay centre of park. He covers so much ground he would've hassled that midfield. Matic looked shite without Ander doing his industry. Perhaps he is back way too early.
Pogba was gash today. Lindelof had his worst game this season, sadly. Shaw maybe only one who can hold his head up high on that pitch.
The loss isn't important it's how we come back from it. A lot of work needs done over this next couple weeks, no excuse as to why we were so tired.

All our midfielders were shit. They won the midfield battle today. I just don't trust Matic at all.

The end line camera angle showed no contact as Lacazette flung himself to the ground. The ref gave it because of his sight angle. Poor from the ref. Did not see any contact but gave the penalty anyways. I thought Fred was poor offensively. Poorly weighted passes and a step late. His defense was superb though. He needed help getting the ball up to the forwards.
