I got criticism for referring to him as deadwood not so long ago! We are going nowhere unless we cut the sentiment and move these kind of players on! He misses more than he scores! |

Lingard and Pogba are both perfect examples of what exactly is wrong with this generation of footballer.
Both act like clowns and are more concerned with their image or things off the field. They know regardless of the effort they put in they'll still get their ridiculous wage. They care more about the name on the back of the shirt than the one on the front.

Dreadful from DDG for their winner. That was Smalling. I’m kinda tired so am wary of getting too much into this but- I don’t think it was. Or if it was it was to a lesser extent. Dave needed to clear that and take the hit. It reminded me of him in his first season, before he got used to England. I was really disappointed in him, thought those mistakes were behind him. I thought Smalling played well until he didn’t. And then he went to shit like the rest of them. In the end only Scott, Dalot and Shaw did anything approaching the standard required. |

I don't want to sound like I'm dropping expectations but we have no right to top 4 this season. If we get there good, if we don't I don't actually think it'll make much difference to next season. I can't get to upset about the top 4 trophy. One or two places doesn't change what we need to do next season. It may even mean that we prepare a bit better.
I trust Ole to set the standards for next season.

I trust Ole to set the standards for next season. Problem is you're not dropping expectation, we're raising them too high and we should have learnt not to by now. This has been the same shit now for 6 years. Towards the end of every season we same the same shit and it inevitably repeats itself, every season we get our hopes up that we've finally turned that shitty corner only to end up right back where we started. It's a repetitive clusterfuck. There's a bigger underlying issue which desperately needs addressing. Buying a few players in the summer isn't going to resolve that. |

The league table doesn't lie and you get what you deserve over a season, but on the balance of the previous 8 months Arsenal and Spurs deserve it a lot more than we do. United and Chelsea have, for the most part, been awful save for a couple of decent months.
No way we're getting top 4 I'm afraid, unless there is a massive change in the coming games. We are terrible. There was a typical new manager bounce when Jose left, that happens at most clubs most of the time. The only saving grace in the recent form/performances/results is in the off chance that Ole thought the players were top class and only a tweak was needed, he's getting to see just what's needed in the summer now, and can plan the clear out that is so desperately needed.
