Isn’t Barcelona supposed to have a reputation for being a really bad place for pickpockets? I’ve never been. i was living there for almost 2 years, happened once to me. and it was my own stupidity. it can happen yes, mostly on the rambla and the surrounding areas. basically the parts that tourists run around blindly and most of them are stupid and naive anyway. i dont think its more "dangerous" than any other major european city. if you`re naive, it will happen to you. if you know what you`re doing and behave properly, you`re pretty much safe. Pick pockets just seems like such an old timey thing, like Oliver twist. Can't believe it's still a thing. There was a whole t.v show and signs everywhere about it in London. |

Isn’t Barcelona supposed to have a reputation for being a really bad place for pickpockets? I’ve never been. I was in Milan years ago with some friends in the old town with a big crowd of United supporters before the game and some scum bag tried to pickpocket one of my mates. He caught him and gave him a dig and he ran off  They target pissed up away fans in a crowd, in most of these places. You have to be on guard Bit off topic, but I remember being in Italy on holiday. Went to Pisa, saw the leaning tower etc but in the city centre it was really dodgy. Really strange atmosphere. There's a walk through arch at the entrance to a main shopping mall that was really suspect, you'd have your down and outs etc but there was definitely groups hanging around looking to pickpocket you. But as has been said, once you look relatively confident you'll be fine (even if you're not particularly). In other words don't do tourist type things in certain areas as you'll stick out like a sore thumb to these people. Never been to Barcelona but I understand it's really notorious for pick pockets. |

I spoke with a friend of mine about the CL final 10 years ago and how easily Barcelona had beaten our best team of the last 15 years, and it hit me - I assumed that we’ll work towards closing the gap on them after that evening, but since then we’ve actually only gotten further and further behind.. obviously they still have Messi and we sold Ronaldo, but it goes so much deeper than these 2 legends of the game. I sure hope we’ll build a team of real winners again.
Anyways, fuck that, we’ll win 1:2 with a late VAR penalty again!

I love Italy. I found out a few years ago after some digging that my dad has Italian ancestry. My parents split up when I was a baby. It probably explains my love for everything connected to the place and also why I have to wax my legs so god damn often. |

I think that was one of the biggest complaints they have about France. Tourists love so many things about the place apart from the French. They probably say the same thing about us? |

You can see these guys watching you like a hawk, they were definitely on the rob. Also, they were basically hanging around the entrance to one of the main shopping centre's under the arch in Pisa, so you were being targeted no doubt about it.
But as I said once you look like you're street-wise you're pretty much okay.
I can recall my mate telling me that he was being targeted in Florence when he eventually sussed it. These guys stopping you and 'asking you for direction's 'can you help me with something?', 'Can you lend me a couple of euro?' while his sidekick was watching.
Basically you just say a firm 'no thanks' and they'll pretty much leave you alone there and then but you need your wits about you, especially if you're going out for a few drinks that night.

We got battered in 84 as well I think. Robbo missed a good chance but from what I remember 2-0 was the least they deserved. You think we’d have played them more often really. |
