He needs to keep some thoughts to himself this is obviously one of them. Ffs the guy can't win, he's being honest. If he said "we're not far off challenging City and Liverpool" he'd be laughed at and called delusional. We're a 2 to 3 year project minimum guys, make your peace with that or you could end up in a mental institution. Any of the last 3 managers would have been slaughtered for comments like that. Especially no 1 and no 3.. |

In terms of actual ability I don't think we are far behind them. This season for large parts its been down to attitude. Some players arent up to scratch but some are more than capable when they can be arsed.
If we can bring in 3 or 4 decent/top players and get rid of a few we may not be challenging for the title but there's no reason why we shouldn't be challenging for the Europa or doing well in a cup competition. Look at the teams Arsenal and Chelsea have had in the Europa this season, we should be beating that level next season.
A lot will depend on recruitment, lets see if he gets the backing he needs first.
