andreas, gomes and chong really impressed in the 2nd half Chong is such a positive player. Always looking to get towards goal. aye, same for gomes. looking to play and move forward and didnt look arsed at all about the size difference to the other players, he just got stuck in. even if this current squad is not good enough to challenge for the big titles, at least its a bit refreshing to see lots of young players absolutely meaning business. i mean just the sight of gomes and chong yelling at lingard and others around them to pass the ball was fantastic, ole must have injected a lot of confidence into them. |

If we don't get certain players in then these youngsters should be getting more than their fair shot. Talent on these young lads is incredible, really like this bunch of youngers. Their attitudes are spot on and the older players can actually learn something from them.
Difficult to tell in the long term because we were playing bottom feeders but though Periera came into his own today through the middle, looked very comfortable.

out of Gomes, Chongy and Lingard.. you'd have thought the latter would have been the youth player struggling to make an impact.
we need to get the ball into Gomes more often the kid has outrageous ability. first touch, weight of pass.
love how he was getting stuck in too. having little spats with players, throwing himself about getting fired up.
Pereira needs to be our deadball specialists. if hes on the pitch hes got to be on corners and Free kicks. what a delivery and technique he has.

Things got a bit heated between the fans as expected. Police throwing a few out for fighting in the stands. Leeds supposedly outnumbered United in Perth 7/8-1. Always nice to beat them though  |

Scott is looking more and more like an automatic starter. We need his energy, physicality and more importantly his mentality in the middle of the park. He’s a fighter and he’s a better footballer than some give him credit for.

Never thought he was good enough tbh thought he was a bit of a plodder, but he has grew with the games he has played, I'd be happy with him and pogba to start in midfield and would be nice to get another top quality body in with them. On a side not I'm Realy liking Mata in the middle I was 1 who thought his time should of been up but if we continue to play him in that position we Realy could get the best out of not only him but the rest of the front 3 |

Gomes looks really sharp. McT hit the gym this summer it seems probably out on 5-10lbs of muscle
