Apologies @bestie who was for a while the lone voice in regards to this fucking disgrace of a player. With respect to Bestie, he was hardly the lone voice. A lot of us were against the signing from day 1 and posted clearly about it. And if we are being honest, he hasn’t always been THIS bad. He has cost us 10+ points in the last few months. |

what he did for England was pathetic and he shouldnt have done that. hes always often played better for England than the club though
its not like hes out on the piss, hes in a restaurant. what do you expect him to do? sit in a dark room on his own. theres no context to the post, you dont know why he was out or anything.
he shouldnt be captain, he shouldnt even be in side at the moment but hammering him for having some food in a restaurant is a bit strange.

Hard to argue for Maguire right now , but iam going to wait and see him under a manager who knows better than Ole.
He was wanted by Jose and Pep , does well for England and looked good in Leicester , may be there is something there ?

Maguire could be OK for us if he is stripped of the captaincy and properly coached and once he develops some kind of understanding with Varane. I think he is massively overrated for England but he wasn't a weak link for them the way he is for us.
And definitely Ole hasn't done him any favors at all by rushing him back from injury and continuing to play him when he obviously was playing shit. He was also terrible when he came back from that Greece holiday but again bloody Ole instead of dropping him and letting him sort his head out kept him in the firing line.
So I am a little bit sympathetic towards Maguire because he has been poorly managed by Ole and given a captaincy that he is temperamentally unsuited to.

Two defeats on the spin he’s been out afterwards. Got beat by City, went away and gave it big uns with England, came back and got a red card in a battering against one of the worst sides in the league. After you cup your ears following a goal against fucking San Marino or whoever it was, you’re opening yourself up to abuse when you then get sent off against Watford. He thought he was clever on international duty, turns out he isn’t. Of course he’s going to receive stick when he’s photographed out having a laugh after his second defeat on the spin. I’m not saying pin him down and water board him, but I think he can expect a bit of grief. And judging by his attitude with England he can more than handle it. |
