for as bad as Maguire has been, its not his fault the manager kept playing an unfit player. he shouldnt have been in the side to make those mistakes. Maguire being shit and making mistake after mistake is nothing to do with his fitness. |

Hard to argue for Maguire right now , but iam going to wait and see him under a manager who knows better than Ole. He was wanted by Jose and Pep , does well for England and looked good in Leicester , may be there is something there ? Jose didn't really want him. I don't believe Pep did either. He didn't look good at Leicester. Looking alright for England meaningless. |

Maguire could be OK for us if he is stripped of the captaincy and properly coached and once he develops some kind of understanding with Varane. I think he is massively overrated for England but he wasn't a weak link for them the way he is for us. And definitely Ole hasn't done him any favors at all by rushing him back from injury and continuing to play him when he obviously was playing shit. He was also terrible when he came back from that Greece holiday but again bloody Ole instead of dropping him and letting him sort his head out kept him in the firing line. So I am a little bit sympathetic towards Maguire because he has been poorly managed by Ole and given a captaincy that he is temperamentally unsuited to. He could have refused the captaincy and he never should have been at the club in the first place. The way he has conducted himself is disgraceful. Zero sympathy. Fuck him. |

His form for his bread and butter has been poor, coupled with the fact he is meant to be the example as a leader.
He has to get his head down for us because his form for England is irrelevant to us, he needs to switch on and concentrate like any defender is trained to do at a basic level.
