It's too early still, I think, for Gomes physically. Especially against the couple of thugs this lot usually start with.
Pereira or Fred with Pogba further forward please. Just no Lingard.

Just no Lingard. if hes not starting hes got to be coming on. we need someone who can use the ball and create in the final 3rd. Lingard is woeful and Mata is an old man. id rather have gomes a young hungry player get a chance. if he gets knocked about its down to him to stand tall. players get a lot of protection nowadays anyways. he could win a lot of pens etc. he could run rings round big players. with him being so short he will be hard to knock off the ball with his centre of gravity so low |

Contract is up in the summer. He'll get his chances, games like this should be ideal but figure Ole may use him in the cup games first. |

Not every player is good off the bench but as you say, starting him might be a tad too much just now... |

Give him an opportunity to get into the game but protect him as well. I'd say there is an argument for having that change scheduled regardless of match situation too. |

When Gomes features in an academy game, he is mercurial, they can't get near him, but I also haven't seen him receive the brute ruthlessness of cynical tackles and barges that happen in the prem. Gomes is talented but he's tiny. Hopefully we can go on long runs in each cup so that players like him, Garner, Greenwood, Chong, et al., get minutes. Their game play is excellent but I think the physical differences are overwhelming, literally men against boys. |

Need to alter my dream and put either Rashford or Martial in. Decisions decisions. Begrudgingly have Pogba in aswell so would like to see him exit his finger from his arse aswell. Could be a good week for mine if all things go to plan  |
