I cant explain how happy I am to see William's starting. For me hes a serious contender to replace Shaw full time but I didnt expect him to get game time until later on in the season.
Mata and Matic starting is frightening but it's awesome seeing Greenwood lead the line and finally Gomes starts!

That's a pretty good side, under the circumstances. It's going to be interesting to see how Gomes and Mata play together, as they like to play the same position. Good to see Williams at LB. He did well when he came on last time, certainly better than Young, and probably just about ready to push Shaw out of the way. Greenwood at the sharp end, who knows, maybe we score twice. I guess we will have Matic and Fred sitting deep, with Mata, Gomes, and James forming a shifting 3? Basically two #10s plus a right-sided winger who prefers to play on the left. Mata will probably spend more time out wide. ? |

TV lineup has us going in a 4-1-4-1, with James, Fred, Mata, and Gomes all in one line, Matic sitting behind them, Greenwood ahead.
A couple minutes in and you could throw a hat over Mata, Gomes, and Greenwood, they are so close to each other.
