I'm the author of the first-ever football biography, fittingly of that Manchester United great, Billy Meredith. It was entitled Football Wizard. I've just finished a book about another United legend, Frank Barson. He was the force behind United's rise from Second Division shame in the 1920's and one of football's hardest men. A formidable captain and leader, he was also considered football's hardest man.
