Hello guys,
I’ve come across this forum through the homepage.
I’m a middle aged United fan, I can remember the likes of Whiteside, McGrath, Sparky, Frank Stapleton and Jesper Olsen etc when I was younger man! This would have been the period of an FA Cup win every couple of years in the 80’s and early 90’s period.
Going through some tough times at the moment obviously and I can recall the pain of that lot from Merseyside dominating as painful as it was.
My first match at Old Trafford would have been in 1989 when we lost to Forest 1-0 with Stuart Pearce scoring from a free kick. We had the likes of Brian McClair, Viv Anderson, Neil Webb and Mike Phelan playing in that game.
