We’ve played Sheffield Utd and Villa inside a week. Out of 180 minutes, how many have we played well in? Honestly? 25? 30? It’s nowhere near good enough. He was dealt a poor hand in the summer but if you don’t think there are better managers in world football right now, available, then you are living in cloud cuckoo land.Has anybody really disputed that? There won't be a single fan out there who thinks he's actually a better manager than Pochettino as an example, problem is, this was also the case when we gave him the contract and nearly everyone on here was delighted.
This is what's urking me with the disrespectful comments, if you don't think he's good enough, fair enough but we all wanted him here despite him having zero experience or anything in his managerial record that suggested he could do this job. So the lack of respect for a genuine club legend is very hard to take.
Why don’t you show me where exactly I showed him a lack of respect? He’s clearly not a good enough manager to have the Utd job. That’s not a lack of respect, that’s reality. Edit- unless you mean elsewhere, rather than here. Because I think Utd fans have generally been very respectful to Ole. No one wanted him to fail, it would have been a magnificent story but it’s just a fairytale now.

I don’t recall anyone confusing Ole with a world class manager, but I do remember people saying if he got the right players in then he might turn out okay. Everyone said it was too big a job but I think the romantics were hoping Ole would at least remind the players what it means to play for United. On paper if we had set out minimum performance requirements regardless of available personnel, Ole has failed. It sucks. I really wanted him to succeed. What’s our record, 6 wins in 20 or something insane? It’s only Ole’s winning smile that he kept him employed. You’d think Poch being available couldn’t have come at a better time.

Never said you did, I'm on about the tone of some on here over recent months. Though the point still stands, had he shown himself to be good enough to be Manchester United manager when we gave him the job?

We went on a magical run, had a wonderful night in Paris and then our ridiculous board acted out of emotion rather than bide their time. We as fans might have been guilty of making a rash decision, and that would have been fair enough, an easy mistake to make, it’s an emotional game and Ole was romantic. We are not paid huge money to make those decisions however and those that are should be fired also. But they won’t be.

Are the Fred truthers still backing him? He's fucking terrible in every which way. So is Pereira. The midfield isn't worthy of the Premier League, even with McTominay in it. Another manager may get better performances but we won't get anywhere near where we want to be unless serious investment is made in this side. This is by far the worst group of players we've had in my life time.

Not a defence of the cunts as they should be stronger to make decisions independent of fan opinion but there would've been uproar if he wasn't given the job and I think fan pressure to give him the job almost certainly had an impact on their decision.

Pereira is dependent on someone else providing steel and ball-winning but when he plays alongside Fred he’s got neither and it makes him look worse than he actually is (which isn’t great anyway). Having 3 forwards who give up on making darting runs because no one ever gets the ball to them is also a symptom of a shit midfield. Grealish looked like a fucking god out there today against us. Our side is as sturdy as a house of cards.

The thing is, there was no need to appoint him when they did. No reason why they couldn’t have waited until the summer. And if the season had played out as it did, or much the same, we would have thanked Ole for steadying the ship and moved on.

This is by far the worst group of players we've had in my life time. I've tried to back Fred as much as I can. I like Pereira aswell but as I said last weekend games like this with our midfield as it is they should be grabbing the chance with two hands and proving themselves. They keep letting themselves down. Running out of excuses to use for them in all honesty. I'm all for giving players time but there's a limit. In the past two games between them they've given the ball away 80 times in the middle of the pitch, which is nowhere near good enough at this level. Theyre not the only ones either.

No one forced Ole to play Jones last week. No one forced him to adopt that ridiculous formation last week. Injuries werent the excuse last week. Shit coaching was. I wanted him to succeed. I'm a major romantic, but the truth is hes not getting the results. That's all we can judge him on. If he stays here and doesn't buy anyone in January then that's on him when he ultimately becomes the scapegoat and gets sacked. The yes man of NetSpend United.

Pereira has more of an excuse because he's a number 10 being made to play in midfield but as someone who's been a fan since the youth teams, I don't think he's ever going to make the grade.

Not that it was his fault but I agree on the waiting until the summer bit. It took the shine off what could have been a very good end to the season. We were flying then bam, gone to shit in an instant.
