We decided we were happy with the result when we brought Lingard on.

Nice performance. Frustrating that we didn't go for the jugular and get a load more in that second half. Suppose when we play again in 48 hours, it's best to take it easier when the win is secured. Totally dominant with 74% possession. Barcodes were shit really. Nice that our 3 forwards scored the goals. That needs to be the 3, with respect to Dan James. Greenwood is gonna score shit loads for us. What a star and what a goal.

James off the bench gives us a brilliant option. Wouldnt mind tryingnthat for a couple games as Greenwood in incredible form. What a goal

15 mins aside at the start and that was as good as we have been all season, great all the front 3 scored too.
Also just seen oles interview and he goes on about building the squad for next, like what has been mentioned but this only works if we buy a couple in Jan, it's going to be interesting now too see if the board back him or not, also he said we need to win trophy this year, so I fully expect us to go all out for the Europa

Good win, could and should have been more but no complaints with the lads taking it easy 2nd half considering the busy period.
Between the 4 of the attackers last season (Martial, Rash, Lukaku and Sanchez) they managed just 40 goals in the whole season, the 4 this year (Martial, Rash, Greenwood, James) have 35 already and we're only at the half way stage.
The firepower is there to really score a lot of goals, and a top class deep midfielder would probably help sort the defence out as well, add two really top drawer midfielders to this team and top 4 should be more than achievable.
See Ole has also just confirmed McTominay has done his ligaments, out of Burnley but don't know how much longer after that. Pretty typical, one player returns another drops out.

For a change, today was a good performance, once we got level there was only one team on top for the rest of the game.
With Chelsea continuing to slip up, it was important to win especially considering three difficult away games coming up.

Very satisfying evening. Mate was there and said atmosphere was brilliant. Enjoy it for what it is I suppose. Happy holidays lads.

How long does it usually take to come back from damaged knee ligament? Bad news there

How long does it usually take to come back from damaged knee ligament? Bad news there Could be season ending. We’re lucky Fred has improved and Pogba is back otherwise it would be really dire. Hopefully this prompts a move for a midfielder in January.

I think that's his season done. You don't fuck around with knee ligaments.

Had to watch on replay. One of those good days for Tony that I love to see, Newcastle made it easier for us with their mistakes v some of the other sides once we go down 1-0.
Easier to break down teams when Pogba or Mata offer a pass over the top. You can see the forwards make those runs when they’re on the ball v when Jesse plays it’s not really an option, similar with Andreas.
