Old Fan, New member, same United!!

Hello Everyone!!

I am a 34 year old suffering Utd fan. Supported them since I was 6 or 7!! Feel I didn't appreciate our better years as much as I should of. It's like I'm being punished for gloating at all my non Utd friends when we were amazing. My thoughts on the current situation is that there is no point in sacking Ole as the next manager will have the same problem. We all know its the board who have let the fans down and we all want them out. I hate the situation we are in but know there is nothing I can do about it so all I do is support the lads when they play!! But what makes it worse is seeing Liverpool smash everyone they play, get all the luck in the world and win cups. I constantly tell myself it is just a patch but unfortunately i think we are stuck in a rut for many more years yet. Anyway I'm looking forward to getting involved and having some chat with proper fans!!

Hi.
I too am a new member, but I’ve supported United longer than i care to remember. Travelled thousands of miles following them and seen much rubbish as well as great memories. I’m onboard for sticking with OGS for the time being. Most fans were in agreement that a squad rebuild was - is - needed, and Ole is slowly achieving that. Fans moaned constantly about Smalling, Fellaini, Lukaku amongst others; these have now departed. I’m a huge fan of young, hungry talent being introduced - it’s our very proud tradition and Ole is continuing it. It’s not going as well as expected, but no-one in their right mind expected a title-challenge this season. I’d rather be in our position than supporting the artificial club they’ve got in the blue 20th of Manchester. “ Hey, we were given loads of money, bought loads of players and won the league.” Well, woopidoo. Our academy is world-famous and its products are vital players for their national sides.
Be patient with Ole, go and check Wiki P. for Sir Matt’s early days - astonishingly similar situation. And who can forget the “ ta-ra Fergie “ banner? That was after 3 years!
Patience, my friends. We’ve had some glorious years, we can bear a small lean spell.
