Hi folks, I thought some of my fellow reds might be interested in this game that’s taking place in Emley, near Huddersfield, on the 5th of April. Some decent names like Wes Brown and Lee Sharpe will be playing. I hope I’ve posted this in the right area. The details are:
A team of Manchester United Legends are playing a match at Emley, West Yorkshire on Sunday 5th April.
The Manchester United squad announced is a strong one:
Lee Sharpe
Wes Brown
Jonathan Greening
Lee Martin
Ben Thornley
Russell Beardsmore
Arthur Albiston
Sammy McIlroy
Clayton Blackmore
Frank Stapleton
Danny Webber
Deiniol Graham - who also played for Emley
Plus guest players Lee Hendrie, Michael Gray and local goalkeeper Matt Glennon (ex-Huddersfield Town)
They will be playing an Emley 'All Stars' team all of who featured for the non-league club over the years - including at Wembley in the FA Vase final and in a famous FA Cup run to the third round and narrow defeat at West Ham.
