Talk that Ireland will be going on lockdown from 8am Monday morning. Any clue as to what measures that will be SET? I'm pretty worried about my family there, especially my aunt, she works in a supermarket and is constantly in contact with people. Stay safe brother. Not sure yet, still not confirmed really but heard it from 3 different sources this morning - incl a couple from the army.

1 thing I find strange is how certain media outlets won't report on the positive articles hardly ever see them Report how many people have recoverd and how many barley had any symptoms, the scaremongering from certain outlets just causes all this mass hysteria. I'm not worried about if for myself, but I live with my elderly, diabetic, disabled mother. And I volunteer driving elderly and disabled people to appointments, shopping trips, etc. Safe to say, I'm taking this shit very seriously, because I'm constantly in contact with the type of people this thing is killing off. It's scary times for them. A lot of them would struggle to fight off a serious illness, any serious illness, be it Coronavirus, or pneumonia, or even the regular flu. It's not hysteria for them, it's literally life and death. My wife is about to give birth in 3 weeks so I'm taking it extremely serious, but the media showing pics of empty shelfs and misinformation does not help at all that's what I'm getting at.

There's an article about Italy and South Korea which is quite interesting, both similar numbers of people in their country's,both got about the same time but how the difference in how they have tried to control it has such a vast difference in the number of deaths.

The empty shelf thing is 100% stupidity on peoples parts. I've been into asda today - No toilet roll, no kitchen roll, no hand soap, no beans, no pasta, no flour.

If the end of the world was coming the last thing I would be bothered about would be how I'm going to wipe my arse. Also people buying all this pasta but not buying any sauce or anything like that. The supermarkets just need to limit everything now and stop selfish people stockpiling, it's OK if you can afford it but people who live week by week will have no chance.

They other thing to hear in mind is Italy's population does have a lot of older 'at risk' people compared to elsewhere.

We should have a charity set up to order for deliveries to older people.

I have a massively compromised immune system, no spleen ,for which I take 500mgs of penicillin daily ,had pneumonia, and have an auto immune version of Lupus, I take between 6/7 mgs of Warfarin daily and a Statin.Apart from that I’m fine! I’m an (English) civil service manager, working in a busy public office where staff and public intermingle all day. So far my Dept has referred ppl like me with underlying health conditions, to “ the guidance on the intranet” which is a cut and pasted complete waste of fucking time! If I get this Covid-19 my doc’s have already told me that I’ll be really poorly, the LAST thing I want is to be stuck in an isolation tent being fed Grey Minced Cat and Mashed potato via a fucking gauntlet! I’m seeing my GP tomorrow and will ,most likely, get a sick note for a month. Feeling you on that civil service “check the guidance” bullshit! Stay safe brother.

Being in Dubai, the toilet roll section being empty is alien to me. We've got ablution faucets in all bathrooms so we never need toilet paper.

If you look at Italy, supermarkets and pharmacies have stayed open. Was the same in Wuhan, wasn't it? I think so.

We should have a charity set up to order for deliveries to older people. This is a real problem. I take a lot of people on their main weekly/monthly shop, and most of the time we're leaving without half of their shopping list. Essentials are becoming more difficult to find.
