Anyway, looks like the whole Arsenal squad came into contact with it a few weeks ago - between them and the teams they've played since half the league could have been exposed.

I guess you are talking about the Olympiacos game?
If so, have you seen any evidence of contact?
I know the owner has it but there's nothing to say that he passed this on to the players; unless you have read differently?
Not trying to be arsey here, just looking to be sure about the things we say...
My wife has a severely compromised immune system as a result of chemotherapy and we are both reading every day and keeping updated...we are both really quite worried and there are differing opinions ranging from 'no more than a bit of flu' to the next plague...
As with most things, it's probably somewhere in between but please let's all be careful about scaremongering...it isn't helpful...
Having said all of that, if we shut down the PL and the vermin don't get to win it then I will be over the moon!

I hope you and your wife are safe and well (and that it costs the scouse the league!).

Fair enough mate...I wasn't aware of that...and apologies for the 'rant' but this is really important to me and my wife...we are at a loss as to what to do but we want to try to carry on as normal as is possible whilst taking more precautions than usual...

Oh, and that then gives us the PERFECT excuse for shutting down the PL before they have won!!!

Good luck mate, this must be a nightmare for you both. I recommend ordering several season review DVDs from when we were good and then self-isolating... (Though I watched one of those a while back and it mainly depressed me how far we have fallen.)

Basically, it's worse than your average flu. The advice is basically, avoid travelling to where the government have advised not to. If you're immuno-compromised, avoid large gatherings. In the instance of your wife, it's best to avoid any gatherings at all. If you can get your groceries delivered, do that and just practice proper personal hygiene. As Rustin has said, hope everything goes well and try not to get tooworried.

Very good news, but the Arsenal players were still exposed, and in turn could have exposed half the league between the games they played since and the games the teams they played also played. It sounds like the PL are being extremely cautious so they'll probably have to test half the league...

Need a few Bournemouth players to self-isolate then a bunch of Everton players after they play the Scum on Monday. Ideal is for one of the Liverpool players to actually test positive for the thing.
