Mata keeps momentum going at critical points in our transition/attack. He's gone from playing with Cleverley, Pereira and Fellaini to Bruno, Pogba and VDB. I thought he was done here but maybe there's still an important role for him in this team.

Really pleased with the win and we generally played well...
However, I am slightly torn...we need a new manager and this, I feel is only putting off the inevitable.
I love Ole and what he has done for the club but he can’t take us to where we should be...
So I love the win but if losing had given us a better manager then maybe I would have taken that...
I now need to take a shower as I feel dirty with what I said...

As I recall, Mata has had 3 games this season and played well 3 times. Ok, some were vs. easier opposition but not everyone who played in those games can say the same. I thought he was probably done but great to be proven wrong.

Looked better all round the park imo, just need to keep it up now. The squad additions should help keep some on their toes. My only complaint is that Pogba came on.

We’ve conceded 12 goals in 4 games, 5 of them against Palace and Brighton having spent 130 million on 2 defenders. We shouldn’t need to break the bank every summer to look better than what we do. |

Ole should be replaced despite the result especially if the club is talking to other managers. |

I dont often post much here, but have been reading for a few years. Dont you ever get tired of being negative? We won last night. No, everything is not rosy, but do you think constant negativity on a forum will change things? Yes, you want Ole gone. Yes, you are incensed at poor transfers. We get it. Hope your mood on the forum doesn't carry into your life, its not worth it  |

I thought Dan James was a bit better yesterday, but VDB showed why he shouldn't be starting games. 1-1 when VDB came on, ends up 4-1. He made a big impact when he got on the pitch. It's criminal that he didn't start.
Note that this isn't a Dan James slander post. It's a VDB praise post.
Pogba did nothing when he came on. VDB starts over him for me.

Btw, that was Rashford’s 70th goal for Utd. At the age of 22. Very impressive going. Unless he gets badly injured or is sold, you’d expect him to finish in the top 10 Utd goal scorers, at the very least.
Still needs a loan though.
