Hello everyone
Excited to finally be able to post. I've been reading for years, but never got the 'courage' to join and post.
I was a defender in my day, although that didn't last long. I was decent but from a country where drinking comes first and football comes later (I didn't do the drinking, but our FA did).
I'm an advocate for hard ('old') football - tactical, crunching tackles are missing from the game. I would gladly get a yellow (or red if necessary) if someone does a teammate wrong.
PS: I've sent my CV for the Chief Executive position at United a few times. Haven't received a response yet (i know there's an incumbent, but he isn't very good if we're being honest). I will gladly accept any help to strengthen my CV.

Tbh, the board has been a little quieter of late...I think the uncertainty over where we are going as a club / team and the inconsistency of results have had an effect on the enthusiasm many of us have for the game...

Also the pandemic. I'm finding covid football just isn't as exciting for me personally. Without the fans, its more like pre season games. Welcome aboard mate. |

I share the same sentiment!
I've only been to Old Trafford once but must say it is an extremely satisfying feeling watching the team and spurring them on. Although they should be able to do their jobs without an audience, the fans help. At the moment they look as though they are just labouring around with no real passion.
The games are broadcast here with 'stadium sounds' forced into our speakers - doesn't do it for me.
