Rashford is fucking class, he won't score you 40 goals a season, and he's inconsistent like any young lad, gets in pretty much any top team in Europe though imo I think we genuinely forget how young he is as well. As daft as it sounds, he is an experienced youngster. |

Consistently shit in the 1st half. For the sake of balance, much better second half. Our finishing vastly improved. Just concerning that we seem to be adrift without Bruno. Even with all of that ability and creativity, we can't seem to get it together if he is off the pitch. |

One of those days where I had scheduled time for this and then things got away from me, but I’m going to assume if I pour myself a bottle of red, rewatch the match and read through this thread that I’ll thoroughly enjoy myself.

One of those days where I had scheduled time for this and then things got away from me, but I’m going to assume if I pour myself a bottle of red, rewatch the match and read through this thread that I’ll thoroughly enjoy myself. Maybe skip to whenever the thread starts for the 2nd half! NGL I went and got chippy at 60 mins in as I was pissed off. Then got more annoyed as I had to wait for freshly fried fish and chips meaning when I got him I missed all 3 goals 😭 |

Ours were stunning goals, all 3 of them. Greenwood’s was down to Bruno chasing down the keeper. Imagine Pogba doing that! (no, I can’t either!)

Good win in the end, but another game where a good passage of play gets us out of the shit and papers over the longer passage of play where we were diabolical and could/should have been 2/3/4 goals down again.
This isn’t maintainable and unless something changes, we will soon be on the end of another pasting like we were against Spurs.

I only saw the highlights so don’t have a great impression of the game...
So two questions: how much of the rubbish first half was down to Donny and do we now give Ole a pat on the back for his in-game management?

Cavani was injured, which explains why he was taken off. We’re in a bit of a crisis now with Martial likely gone long-term as well. I love Cavani’s character in terms of the way he gets stuck in,his wonderful movement, and hope he’s back soon. Martial, on the other hand will take a while longer though, his ego was dreadfully bruised, amongst other things. |
